Since this thread has been dormant for a few days, what do you all think the chances of Frank Ocean playing next year are if he finally releases his album? Some other groups I think would make sense are:
Modest Mouse (performing The Lonesome Crowded West, a man can dream right?) Brand New Bad Suns Deftones The Infamous Stringdusters Bastille The Front Bottoms Balance and Composure? Lil Yachty Touche Amore? Foxing
and a lot more that have been mentioned in here already, just trying to get the discussion going again
Brand New has been on my wish list for a while. I seriously want an evening tent show from them. Deftones are my number one pick for the token metal band next year, well give me them and Deafheaven. Maybe even Anthrax if we're feeling ambitious, they would be a lot of fun on the farm. The Front Bottoms would make an amazing Thursday act.
I don't mind them. They seem to be a popular late night selection to pull people away from whatever else is going on I might want to check out. Of course, I'm referencing two of the best late night years ever in 2010 and 2014. Conflicts haven't been much of an issue the last two years.
After Angelique Kidjo's set at Newport Jazz Festival today, I'm putting her on my list of acts Roo should book. I didn't expect to be doing any dancing today but damn her set just did not let up. Didn't know her beforehand and she killed. She'd be perfect for a Bonnaroo token "world music" act
If the Avalanches were booked than the lineup already has an artist I would be more excited to see than the whole 2016 lineup (except maybe LCD and tame).
I think japandriods and against me will both be back. Against me is touring with bad religion it'd be cool if they booked them too since they've never been
And instead of saying all of your goodbyes - let them know you realize that life goes fast - It's hard to make the good things last-you realize the sun doesn't go down - It's just an illusion caused by the world spinning round

I'd take all three of these honestly.
I am 100 percent down with those 3. If we got the 3 of them and avalanches Roo would already be improving the undercard like woah

They need to bring back string cheese. Even though I feel like last year would have been perfect for roo to bring them back. I just want another chance for cheese to throw a crazy late night party on the farm.
Grouplove just released a new song and have an upcoming album. Always a fun show.
Meh. If Bonnaroo is looking for a top-25 act that will fill the role of "mediocre 'indie' artist popular with the younger demographic", I'd rather they book Young the Giant. They haven't played since 2012, whereas Grouplove played as recently as 2014.

Fair enough. I've never been into YTG but they both appeal to the same demographic.

I've heard YtG is pretty good live. I'm seeing them in September so I should hopefully be able to ascertain if they're Roo-worthy

If you're into their music they won't disappoint live. I was a big fan of their first album for a bit and saw them when they were touring that. It was a great show. I fell off them with their last album but I'll be checking out their new one and will probably make an effort to catch them on this tour because why the hell not
