Watching Glastonbury highlights from 2016 on the DVR, and Alunageorge would be so fun at Roo next year. This set looks like a lot of fun, anyone ever see her before? Still bummed I missed her at Lolla this year, but I had a Frank Turner aftershow to go to!
Her voice doesn't hold up as well live, which is disappointing. It's nothing special in my opinion.

Dang that sucks haha. I'll still have to see for myself, but Lolla did get mixed reviews as well.
Arkells played on a smaller stage this year at Roo, they are starting to get bigger: I hope they come back for another round. They were amazing in a venue in Buffalo recently, and pretty awesome at Lolla too. Since they'll be touring next year, I could see them bringing them back.
Their set at the Who Stage was really good. We just happened to be passin' by shortly after they started and decided to catch the rest of their show! I would definitely catch 'em again.

One of my favorite bands, and best live acts I've ever seen!

Can anyone think of a way we can get Gambino on the lineup next year. Where could he realistically be billed, where we could somehow get Chance and Gambino. It would be amazing if Gambino closed which Sat right before the Weeknd.
I honestly don't get the appeal here. Am I missing something? I was not a fan of his rapping either.
I like it because I've always been into Sly and the Family Stone, P-Funk, James Brown, D'Angelo, and I feel like he's tapping those legends very well. Performance wise, he's always been a great performer. Emotional. And finally he's making music that suits those attributes way better than his whiney rapping ever did.

Sat
What
Hall and Oates 8:15-9:30>The Weeknd 10:30-12:00
Which: Gambino 8:30-10:00
No. That's literally the exact same spot he played in 2015. If they did book him, it'd be LN Which with Chance Pre-HL the other night. But I'd but the odds of Childish at about 1%

Shit really? That's where he was in 2015, I didn't go that year. Ughhhh well there's always Lolla. I just want some fest to book him that I'm going to lol. Ok let's switch it up, aside from Gallant, who are some soulsters we could see in 2017 that would stand out and are on the circuit?

What would Gambino's setlist be like with the new music? I don't think he would be able to mix it in very well with the old music. Id imagine he would either only play the new stuff or split the setlist in halves to make it work.

He said in an interview he would still be performing old songs

I'm a fan of the recording, but I definitely don't understand the praise for this performance. His attempts at improv phrases are often out of key or just don't hit. And in general, his voice doesn't sound that great. There are certainly bright moments, but it's more consistently underwhelming.

I think the performance needs to be judged in the context of Childish Gambino and his previous work. His old style of coming out in skinny jorts is far different than a vulnerable shirt off soul performance. Personally, I think this performance is the single best performance I've ever seen of him. It's not the vocals, its the delivery, sensuality and vulnerability that makes this performance rock.

Are people saying Gambino has no shot of playing the farm because of Chance? A year after they booked both J Cole and Macklemore?
It's actually a pretty big fear of mine that we get Gambino to waste some prime real estate near the top of the lineup.
There's no need to worry about that. launch has confirmed that Childish will not be doing any shows next summer. I believe this is due to him filming Episode 8

Ah, I forgot that Lando suddenly becomes younger for Episode 8. Gotta love the power of the force.

Not Episode 8, but the young Han Solo movie that comes out after 8.
