Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
Damn you might be right. In which case I'll be sure to give my guy an earful. I can't see why they wouldn't do a Nashville date if they're doing SK but oh well. I'll see them at Boston Calling either way
Eh, it's not written in stone that every band NEEDS to play Nashville.
Definitely not. Just seems like a more important market to hit than Atlanta. But those tour dates line up too well with Shaky Knees.
1. Coachella 2. Governors Ball 3. Bottle Rock 4. Okeechobee 5. Forecastle 6. Buku 7. Hangout
I'm expecting Shaky to have one of their best yet, which sadly means another stinker from Roo. Bonnaroo has a lot to offer at the top, and then drops tremendously in the middle and down. Sasquatch and Lolla will bring some unique lineups, same with Panorama and ACL.
While mine would be BottleRock if just looking at top 6, overall lineups for me so far are:
If they play SK, I'm either gonna try and snag Austin tickets or consider going to SK, possibly as a total Roo replacement. This is concerning.
Only thing that gives me hope ... A lot of times, artists leave gaps after a date scheduled at ACL Live Moody Theater (which they're playing at in ATX) so that they can book second or even third nights when the first show inevitably sells out instantly. I think they fit the bill for that kind of scenario easily.
BUT, it also just seems too perfect for them to play Shakey at this point.
Bonnaroo '15/'16/'17/'18/'19 - ACL '13/'14/'15/'17/'18 - Fun Fun Fun '14 - SXSW '13/'14/'15 - FPSF '16
2019 Shows: 4/30 - Vampire Weekend 6/28 - Father John Misty & Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit 9/6 - Cardi B w/ Teyana Taylor 9/28 - Vulfpeck w/ The Fearless Flyers

I am on the Shaky Knees replacing Bonnaroo fence as well. I am definitely waiting for the lineup on both, but it is looking more and more likely that Shaky Knees is going to be where it's at.

I thought The xx were confirmed already? If Bonnaroo didn't get The xx I hope they got The Shins, I love the new tracks. They just shared a second new one and announced their fifth album comes out March 10th.

Could go either way, they aren't out for sure. Just quite a bit less likely.
Really hope The xx isn't playing SK...maybe it's just me but the idea of standing on that blacktop again in the heat is not very exciting. Also, can they please do something about the bridge of death?

Oh come on .. The bridge of death added an element of danger to the weekend. It was a blast!

The Shins posted some tour dates (from their website):
MAR 2 EL REY THEATRE - ALBUQUERQUE, NM MAR 3 MCDOWELL MOUNTAIN MUSIC FESTIVAL - PHOENIX, AZ MAR 4 FOX THEATER - POMONA, CA MAR 6 OBSERVATORY NORTH PARK - SAN DIEGO, CA MAR 7 OBSERVATORY NORTH PARK - SAN DIEGO, CA MAR 28 TRIANON - PARIS, FRANCE MAR 29 APOLLO HAMMERSMITH - LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM MAR 30 PARADISO - AMSTERDAM, NETHERLANDS APR 22 HIGH WATER FESTIVAL - NORTH CHARLESTON, SC APR 23 HIGH WATER FESTIVAL - NORTH CHARLESTON, SC JUN 15 PROSPECT PARK - BROOKLYN, NY
Not that I'm optimistic about the Roo undercard at this point. But even if The xx is out, I would argue that something like Chance-Lorde-Flume would be a big step up over J. Cole-Ellie Goulding-Macklemore from last year. Definitely a step up if it's The xx in the sixth spot with Flume 7th.

The Prospect Park show makes me feel good about them being at Bonnaroo. Since they randomly didn't make it onto the Coachella poster (i'd love to know why) I really want them to be booked.
Side note: If you ever have the chance to see a gig at Prospect Park - do it. Saw the National there a few years back when we were in NY for a few days and it was blissy.

Here's hoping! As long as they don't show up on Shaky Knees lineup next Tuesday... I'm holding out some hope for them
So what undercard acts are we still counting on to make Bonnaroo great again? Chance, the Avalanches .... ?
PJ Harvey, Ryan Adams, Beck finally being there when we thought he would the last 3 years, Ange Olsen, Laura Marling, Nicolas Jaar, DJ Shadow Avalanches. Those are the things that would change my mind.

I'm falling into this category as well. I'm a fairly positive person, but all signs point to terrible at this point. The xx has me hooked right now, and I can't make shaky knees this year if that is where they land. And yes, chance-lorde-flume is an upgrade, IMO.

Right.. I keep forgetting about Shaky Knees. God God Dammit Dammit
I am on the Shaky Knees replacing Bonnaroo fence as well.
Welcome to my fence. I left plenty of room.
We had fun at Shaky Knees this past year, but I definitely like 'Roo better. Havin' a fest in a city is okay, but the costs can really add up quickly if you're not prepared!

PJ Harvey, Air, Modest Mouse, The Roots, Avalanches, Animal Collective, Grizzly Bear, Ryan Adams, The Shins, James Blake, Chance, Mavis Staples, Danny Brown, Schoolboy Q, Car seat Headrest, Health, Kaytranada, Rufus Du Sol, Warpaint, Thundercat, Alt J, Little Dragon, Sturgill Simpson, Future Islands, Tycho, Beach House, Local Natives, Franz Ferninand, Parquet Courts, a metal tent, a couple off the wall older acts, world or jazz acts to come out of left field.

The metal for Roo this year will probably come in the form of "Babymetal" since they are opening for Chilis. Slot that in for COS' "Surprises" section for their Day After Bonnaroo Lineup article.
