i doubt they will pull both AF and PJ. Is Pearl Jam even expected to be touring next year after this run? Every fest that hasnt had Arcade Fire in the last 2 years is going to be hoping for them but i doubt they will whore around, i could see like 3-5 fests in the states.
Drake - The Weaknd - Bill Joel Deadmau5 - Alabama Shakes - 21P

I can't imagine they would subject the audience to both Drake and the Weeknd as two of three heafdliners. Nor would I think Deadmau5 comes back next year. Sub out Drake for The Strokes and Deadmau5 for Calvin Harris and I think that would be realistic.
I think Twenty One Pilots is going to be a 3rd headliner if they come back. They've blown the fuck up. I saw them at Merriweather a couple weeks ago and I've never seen it that crowded before. Median age of 15.

i think it really depends on what TOP do from now until winter, they just put out a new single for the suicide squad movie, so if they released another EP by winter they're definitely a 3. if not i can definitley see them in deadmau5's spot.
TOP would be an underwhelming headliner. Arcade fire seems like a realistic guess for a #1.
As much as I love Arcade Fire, FF wouldnt book them as a #1. They dont have the same name recognition as Mumford, nor Paul, Foo Fighters or RHCP.
I think theyll strive for another legend act for 2017
I'd say that arcade fire has about the same appeal as Mumford but then again I could be dead wrong. I hope they get another legendary #1 like Paul as 2015 to me had an amazing lineup for my tastes.

They definitely have appeal, but someone like Mumford has much more appeal to the type of people thay attend firefly.

Totally agree that it would be underwhelming, but it would be such a Firefly thing to do.
I don't really understand the skepticism about Firefly headliners. There's nothing to base these assumptions off of. Firefly history has never really shown any of this, especially regarding some things im reading:
1. Middling Hip Hop ex. Drake/The Weeknd - Firefly has never had an R&B/hip hop headliner except for Outkast which was a special circumstance.
2. EDM Headliner like Calvin Harris or Skrillex - Firefly has never had an EDM headliner
3. Making a second tier act a headliner like Twenty One Pilots - The only time Firefly has done this is 2013 (it was a festival half the size then) when they split Sunday headliners as Vampire Weekend/Foster the People (which looks pretty good now). Besides that - every headliner was absolutely a legit Top 3 headliner (except Jack Johnson, who also headlined Bonnaroo at around the same time though)

I could see 21P on the second line. Not as a headliner. Like I said before I think they get the Imagine Dragons treatment from 2014. A super long preheadliner set on the main stage.
