Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
This would get ridiculed. Sorry but in order to justify TØP & Phoenix at an AEG Festival this size your 2/3 you would need a Fleetwood/Stones/Waters/PJ caliber #1 or a reallllllly deep undercard.
you are way off. This would sell out FF. Fests are tanking on lineups and going for what sells.
Agreed. If FF could pull this top 2 lines off then it would be second only to Coachella for top 2 lines in regards to giving the masses what they want.
I'm hoping this is the year we finally see the flaming lips make a return to firefly. They didn't have late night acts when they played the inaugural year, and I'd love a late night freak out in the woodlands.
03/14 - Thievery Corporation 04/25 - Black Country, New Road 05/04 - In Flames, Gatecreeper 05/10 - Modern Life is War 05/21 - Spite, Bodysnatcher, Thrown 05/29 - Knocked Loose, Loathe, Show me the Body, Speed 06/02 - Bush 06/22 - George Thorogood 06/23 - Dillinger Escape Plan, Deadguy, Candy, Carbomb
I mean Daft Punk and Oasis were probably in the top 5 voted artists. But I'm sure 21P and like Eminem were too. Firefly fans get a lot of things wrong, but they all hate Drake. That would really surprise me if he was booked.

Just to see, I went back in the history to see, and damn, Firefly doesn't really care about big name EDM and has really ignored big-name rap/hip-hop. I mean look at this:
# of Hip-Hop/Rap Acts in Top 10 2012: 0 2013: 0 2014: 1 2015: 1 2016: 0
# of EDM Acts in Top 10 2012: 1 2013: 1 2014: 1 2015: 1 2016: 2 *only if you consider Disclosure EDM
Red Frog Intern is right that this is an alt-rock fest at heart and I know festival trends are changing but I can't see a huge switch since they're selling very well every year.
Launchpad said 2 of the following: The Weeknd, 21P, Chance, The Chainsmokers, The Lumineers
I think it's clearly 21P and Lumineers personally.
That's my thought. I'd be surprised if they share a headliner with Gov Ball, which probably means no Chance or Phoenix. 21P is inevitable at some point, and Firefly has shared a headliner with Hangout 3/5 years. And The Lumineers will be in Philly on Sunday opening for U2. I was hopeful this festival could build off last year and put together something more interesting, but now my expectations are quite low.

Agreed. Childish Gambino is like semi-confirmed for this so if you go by my dumb chart he fills their hip-hop quota in the Top 10 - eliminating The Weeknd (good) and Chance (damn).
Chainsmokers make sense but they were there 2 years ago.

Since this festival is never going to come close to booking another high-level EDM act as good as Disclosure, I wouldn't mind The Chainsmokers showing up if it meant that one of 21P or The Lumineers (preferably the former) were out.

just look around at all these fests that arent niche. most of them arent what they are now even after being established. You would never know Hangout originated as a mostly jam/rock/funk fest til 2014. Look at how much Roo has even changed for the worst.

This makes me feel a little better after seeing some of these mocks being tossed around. Personally still holding out a small sliver of hope LCD is our 3rd headliner.

With The xx playing Primavera the weekend of Gov Ball and coming back to the states to play Bonnaroo, I wonder if there's a legitimate possibility that they'll be at Firefly. Probably not due to the Philly date in May.
The xx are definitely in play. They would align well with music lovers and the younger firefly goers alike.
I personally think theyre an act Redfrog would go after
Yea, originally I assumed they would be out due to Primavera and then they are in Portugal in early July, but after them being on the Roo lineup I am fully expecting them to be at FF.
i haven't been on her in minute. what's been shakin?
There's 21 reasons to celebrate Firefly so far.
This thread has really been illuminating. There's a chance we get one or two of Pearl Jam/Muse/Strokes/LCD, but who knows. Probably won't know until after next Weeknd.

its pretty obvious we wont be getting many wild exclusives, but just going down the released lineups, i think we could get a solid/realistic lineup from mostly stealing what everyone else is booking.

Love that lineup but no way Firefly gets the Avalanches
