Muse - The Weeknd - TOP - Childish Gambino Odesza - Lorde - Flume - The Lumineers the xx - HAIM - Weezer - Cage the Elephant Marshmello - The Offspring - Schoolboy Q
I feel like this way over appeals to the youth demo. TOP and the Weeknd in Top 3. 2 EDM in top 8. Gambino and Lorde also will bring the younger crowd. Feel like this is overkill.
Can we go back to talking about bands that we want to play, but won't actually make the lineup.
Sure! May I present to you my beautifully designed, never-going-to-happen mock lineup! It's a little short on names but just imagine the rest filled in with EDM and pop that I don't know.
Points for putting The Bravery on there. I always forget about them since they've been inactive for about five years roughly.

Has anyone been able to disprove the Beyoncé - Muse - LCD Soundsystem rumor that popped up on Facebook a while back? Were those the three, or was 21 Pilots in the rumor too?

That would be a great top line, and the facebook comments would be incredible. Don't think t'll happen though.
Best part about Firefly for me last year was free booze and massages for press. Was triple-fisting drinks and handing two off to my friends/making new friends all weekend. Ended up waking up in GLAMPING in a bed with these two Canadian girls (nothing happened) after Thursday night from making friends by handing extra drinks after I lost my friends.
And this is why awesome media perks sometimes get reduced or removed at festivals. One of the festivals I always cover had that same problem with media going crazy on the free stuff and had to change the layout and rules the next year. Thanks.
Firefly used to have a twice a day buffet in the VIP tent and it was AWESOME. Ribs, BBQ chicken, pasta, salad, casseroles, corn (on and off the cob), the works. Not to mention, incredible desserts, etc. 2013 was the last year of it, because (and I'm quoting my own festival source at Red Frog) "With the media pushing their way in and bringing food out by the armload, the buffet was hemorrhaging money."

So I saw two bands that will most likely be at Firefly this year.
Phantogram- Seriously, do not miss this band. I saw them for a fifth time on Friday. They just bring so much emotion and confidence on the stage. I think they're better than Chvrches, Ms Mr, and Silversun Pickups live. They're slick, and dark. It's haunting and it just takes over your emotions as well. They never disappoint.
Judah and the Lion- On the opposite end of Phantogram. This band is terrible live. They mesh all these odd arrangements, and it never mixes well live at all. They keep trying to one up themselves, whether it's booty twerking or bad attempts at rap. It felt like a dog humping my leg for 40 min, and I kept shaking them off but no response. It was the worst show I've ever seen. Worst than Cherub, who I consider a poor man's Chromeo live. And I was convinced no one would beat Eminem, but holy hell....Judah and the Lion is pure poison live and there's no remedy to erase what I just endured. Blech.
I like Judah and had to miss them for RTJ at hangout, seeing them today with Phantogram at the 104.5 show in Philly. I hope it's better then what you described.
