So I saw two bands that will most likely be at Firefly this year.
Phantogram- Seriously, do not miss this band. I saw them for a fifth time on Friday. They just bring so much emotion and confidence on the stage. I think they're better than Chvrches, Ms Mr, and Silversun Pickups live. They're slick, and dark. It's haunting and it just takes over your emotions as well. They never disappoint.
Judah and the Lion- On the opposite end of Phantogram. This band is terrible live. They mesh all these odd arrangements, and it never mixes well live at all. They keep trying to one up themselves, whether it's booty twerking or bad attempts at rap. It felt like a dog humping my leg for 40 min, and I kept shaking them off but no response. It was the worst show I've ever seen. Worst than Cherub, who I consider a poor man's Chromeo live. And I was convinced no one would beat Eminem, but holy hell....Judah and the Lion is pure poison live and there's no remedy to erase what I just endured. Blech.
Good to hear, seeing Phantogram tomorrow. I'm excited.

any final predictions before lineup drop possibly tmrw? im really hoping for a surprise we havent seen on any other posters so far like The Offspring, Van Morrison, or Ray Lamontagne.
I'll be pretty disappointed if she can't sing at all and they still go on with the show. That's a big let down. I saw Band of Horses on NYE eve and Ben had pretty much lost his voice too... maybe it's me.

I doubt that. It's not like Firefly has ever come out and given us a date. I think they said "early/mid January" but that was back in like November so a lot could have changed since then.

Haha yea I was partially kidding, I just had assumed it would correlate with this Phantogram concert somehow and now it seems like it will not. Hopefully they give us a date tonight or any bit of information.

They did announce a specific date though in 2015, and then the date came and went without a lineup if I remember correctly. Really feel like they have give us atleast something tonight. Hopefully a date.

The best part of that message was the links to Bastille videos lol. I'm sure that set a bunch of people off. They just said more than they should have, and paid the price for it.

Yea it was something to the effect of "We will end this with some beautiful performances by 2015 Firefly artist Bastille" and then a link to the videos.
far out in right field hypothesis on wait for line up is that they are coordinating with Metallica's announcement. Metallica is announcing on 1/23 a N/A tour.

Interesting thought. I feel like there's one surprise headliner, although perhaps not that big. I wonder what their price tag is? Metallica and Muse would give Firefly someone pretty different from others this year.
