far out in right field hypothesis on wait for line up is that they are coordinating with Metallica's announcement. Metallica is announcing on 1/23 a N/A tour.
I like this possibility.
It's all speculation at this point, but maybe it's another big name rumored to tour this summer (Pearl Jam).
So is anything coming out of this Phantogram show? Was positive we'd get a tease or announcement tonight and then a lineup tomorrow.
It's truly amazing that Firefly hasnt even tweeted in a week. This is an event theyre presenting and not one tweet yet. Let alone, any hint about a lineup coming/clues/anything to create excitement, as people buy tickets to all the other lineups that are actually out.
Lineup tomorrow or not (and it doesnt appear likely at this point, it seems like another ridiculous delay, they again made the mistake of saying itll be out in January and now refuse to have any communication at all during a show where everyones expecting something to be said)...
Anyway, lineup or not the lack of communication by Firefly in regards to their lineup/schedule/other pertinent info remains astounding. It is good that they are allowing people to be more interactive and stuff, but I truly do not understand how they act before a lineup is released.

It would be cool, but I have no knowledge, just throwing it out there. Something had to come up on their lineup...no way they are waiting this long and allowing multiple fests geographically close to their fest continue to get the jump the way they did.

There's a user on reddit who is claiming he spoke to a source who knows the lineup and that one of the headliners is "a band that is not currently headlining any other US festival". Far from a concrete source, but the user has a 5 year tag next to his name so he at least has a little credibility. He also said he's not referring to Muse.
That, plus what looks to be a bit of a lineup delay leads me to think that it's Pearl Jam. I couldn't think of many other options that fit that description. They've made a huge deal about this being a fan curated festival and Pearl Jam has been the #1 requested act basically through Firefly's entire history.

one of my first posts on inforoo was a horrific mock firefly poster with an absurd amount of neon green, but the top line was Pearl Jam - Muse - Gorillaz. Granted this was for 2016, but if ill be pretty pleased with myself if I called 2/3.

Pearl Jam speculation is fun and all...but the fact that they didnt mention it at all at a concert that they are presenting?! What in the world?! No social media interaction. Flat out nothing. I truly do not get it.

Foreign Air and Phantogram both put on great shows tonight. Glad they'll both likely be at the festival. It was definitely weird that neither of them even mention Firefly though.

Never forget the 2015 lineup. McCartney, KOL, and The Killers and still a decent to strong undercard

on the main though, and easily had the biggest crowd of the weekend. they didn't really play against anyone though.

does rock on the range really count? its mono-genre and not very talked about, i can totally see this guy having never of heard of that fest. i dont think we should count out metallica.

Strokes also totally fits his description. I guess it could also be Vampire Weekend but I'd consider that less likely.
