Beyonce + Twenty One Pilots headlining would bringing a totally different crowd to this festival. I respect Beyonce and her talent but I'm not dying to see her.
The effect she would have on the budget (RIP undercard) + the crowd that would be there might make me stay away completely.

agree that she could potentially slash the undercard, but I think thats the only downside to her booking. The TOP crowd has always been there and will be there one way or another. I think theres a less than 1% chance beyonce will actually be on the lineup so I dont think its worth worrying about her "crowd" being there.

Seriously, fuck her crowd. Trying to enjoy Phoenix at MIA before her set was near impossible due to the 14-23yo girls that felt that a blanket 10ft from the rail meant they could sit and chill during Phoenix. They were nasty and disrespectful, it was clearly their first time at a festival, it completely turned me off from going back to MIA ever again.
I love and respect Beyonce so much, but I know that this is not the right scene for her. I do wish one day I do get to see her, but Firefly would not be the setting I would want to see her in.

I wasn't really a fan of her music until she dropped Lemonade, which I was into and I decided to go to the Formation tour last year. Yo, that was a top 5 show for me last year. She is an absolutely incredible performer, and this is coming from a guy who didn't really know half of the songs she played . Some of her more popular songs would be absolutely amazing in a festival setting

Right, but they can't communicate information that isn't there. The biggest problem is everyone is looking at last year. How many festivals drop their lineup 8 months in advance? I'm sure it happens, but not often. Also, aren't most of those fests before Firefly? Again, please don't get it twisted. I'm not blindly sticking up for Firefly (something people have grown pretty fond of accusing me of over the years), but the fact is the lineup isn't late by any stretch. If they say it will be out on "x" and then can't deliver on it, don't you think that would start a shiz storm of epic proportions?

Oh, don't get me wrong, I don't really give a shit when this lineup comes out. I only pay attention because it's close by, I've never once liked the lineup. That was just a funny statement on its face.
mg is like the launchpad of Firefly except they don't even give him any scoopz.
Ahhhhh, but I'm not. Unlike him, I don't claim I know this or that. All I have ever done is not tell people what I do or do not know. Either way, every year I get blasted by those who either don't think I know anything about what's going on or are completely blown away that if I do know something that I wouldn't go plastering it all over the internet. People are going to think what they want, not my concern.

they cant tweet "hey guys, lineup coming soon!" or at least stay somewhat engaged on social media? maybe do clues for undercard acts? give people a reason to be excited for when the lineup eventually drops, not annoyed by its delay. its not that hard.

Not sure if anyone else is in the same boat but my concern is lodging. We have gone all 5 years (ga camp, front-row, Wed. premier, glamp, hotel - in that order) from NJ, we'll be looking to hotel or stay at a place nearby again if the lineup delivers. Kind of a chicken-and-egg scenario right now. Given the other lineups out now, Osheaga would probably be the only one that could dethrone our annual trip but they're usually not out until late-February. Each day I keep seeing hotel rooms come-and-go, it's more nerve-racking from that standpoint.
Lucky for me (with sarcasm) my group is usually all about the acts that get bashed on here continually so I'm sure they'll be thrilled.

You should have used booking.com and gotten a room with no money down and free cancellation months ago.
