Although they have never come out and said it, I think the proximity of the lawn to the residential areas may be the issue (and has always been the rumor). From what I've heard, you can CLEARLY hear the lawn from the neighborhood next to the Woodlands, like double that of the backyard or other stages. Perhaps they don't actually have any restriction using that stage after a certain time, but more so they want to avoid having to deal with it being an issue.
Never heard this but it definitely makes sense. Don't want the locals lobbying for a earlier sound ordinance.
Dover's sound ordinance is at 1 AM. They gave Firefly a special exemption a few years ago to go to 2 AM.

Hell yea. I was pumped for that 2 hour Lettuce set. Fuckin' mother nature. Not sure why they didn't do something similar this year.

The Lettuce LN set in 2015 was borderline top 5 show for me going into the weekend.
I'd be surprised if twenty one pilots weren't there to be honest. Probably not a headliner but there regardless.
They will be a headliner, a third or fourth headliner, lowest I could see them is preheadlining. Especially at Firefly of all the big festivals, they seem to be in love with the group.

TOP is in 21 Pilots? They have 2 full albums they should be able to easily fill the time. Cant see a top line of AF/RHCP/Green Day. That doesnt target the demo really. Probably 1 maybe 2 of that group.

Yes. Looking at their setlists, their fest shows are 11 songs(~55 minutes), their solo shows are around 22-23 songs. They'd be able to fill it, I guess my next question is they toured a shit ton last year, and are book through April next year, do they hit the summer fests?

Curious as to why you can't see Green Day happening? This was the first festival to jump at the new-lineup Blink 182. Green Day seems perfect for Firefly as a #2 or #3 headliner.

You can't not hear Ride on the radio, pop stations play it and does 104.5.
I feel like FF gets whatever 104.5 plays non-stop a year after that act is a big get.
i stopped listening to the radio years ago. Its insane that 21P is selling out Arenas across the country. 104.5 defintley seems to have an influence on the lineup. Are they an official partner?
Blink didnt headline though and is probably a good bit amount cheaper than Green Day.
I remember seeing Green Day being the 6th most requested band from Firefly attendee surveys. With new material coming out I can definetly see them there. A top line of Green Day, RHCP 21P, Skrillex sounds right up Fireflys ally.

Pearl Jam will absolutely happen at some point I think. I think there's an interest. Especially if 21P were to be playing the same year. Adds some variety. I'd love The Strokes to play!! I just can't see it with a Firefly audience.

Just gut feeling really. Not really in the same ballpark as the killers, black keys, Kings of Leon, Mumford and other stereotypical firefly headliners. RHCP and maybe even TOP fits in better.
I guess the next big question is, does the lineup drop in November again?
I don't think so, they even said not to expect that to happen again. I would guess sometime in January like it was every year before the disastrous 2015.
I know this is highly doubtful, because i feel like they don't really fit Firefly's target demo, but it would be sick if they got LCD next year. I feel like Firefly is usually a year behind and picks up a lot of acts that hit the festival circuit hard the year before that they missed out on. Wishful thinking, I know.
