Bruce Springsteen - Green Day - Sia - Twenty One Pilots
Not sure what the likelihood is of Firefly snagging SIA, but it would be a great fit! Very broad appeal IMO. Would be curious to see if there's any difference in her performing at a festival versus her own concert.
Bruce Springsteen - Kendrick Lamar - Green Day Twenty One Pilots - Jack U - Incubus - Chance The Rapper - Paramore Flume - Beach House - Bryson Tiller - Young the Giant - Grizmatik (Griz + Gramatik) Foals - ZHU - James Bay - Bloc Party - Jimmy Eat World - Duke Dumont - Haim
(Day - headliner/sub - backyard EDM healdiner)
Fri: Incubus - Bruce - Jack U Sat: 21P - Kendrick - Flume Sun: Paramore - Green Day - Grizmatik
Bruce is probably more of a long shot but this is updated from the one I put up back in June.

just saw bruce springsteen at citizens bank park. that man played for 4 hours and 4 minutes (which is his longest north american set ever according to setlist.fm). holy hell he was great, energy didnt let up once during the show, i would absolutely love for him to be the number one next year, even though i doubt FF would allot him anywhere near that much time.

Nice, I've always wanted to see the Boss. I would think Firefly would give him a similar set length as Paul. Probably around 2 1/2 hours.

Hopefully they'd give him the same slot as Macca.
yeah that would be cool, but i think we all know who we REALLY want to get that slot.
The obvious choices, which we know Firefly doesnt think outside the box for headliners
I really hope they go the Skrillex route and not Bassnectar. We already have the bros flocking from the North East we don't need the Nectar wookies too. Otherwise, that seems like a pretty realistic first line. I just have to wonder about Bruce though... when was the last time he played major festivals? 2009 at Bonnaroo and Glastonbury?

Not to mention, the entire state of New Jersey would be there as well.

Bruce has played a handful of festivals outside North America within the last 5 years: Rock in Rio (2013), Rock in Roma (2013), Hard Rock Calling (2012 & 2013), Hard Rock Calling - UK (2012), Roskilde (2012), Isle of Wight (2012), Rock in Rio Lisboa (2012), and Pinkpop (2012). He also played Jazz Fest in 2012 and 2014. I'm surprised that he's played so few festivals in North America.
got ya. im not a huge fan so i had no idea they didnt play out there on this leg. Would seem even more likely they wouldnt play an east coast festival, this year would have made more sense it feels like.

Bruce will not be at Firefly 2017. The River Tour has been non stop throughout 2016, he's going to shut it down this Fall and take a break. He's not going to get the entire E Street Band back to rehearsing 9 months later so that he can play shortened festival sets.
Pearl Jam is more likely but I really wouldn't count on that either.
Unless they put out a 3rd hit album before June, I still don't see Twenty One Pilots as a headliner.
I know they are close to selling out arenas, but Brand New/Modest Mouse and Halsey shows both nearly sold out MSG and that doesn't mean they're headliners.
Only way 21P could be a headliner if they go with the Vampire Weekend/Foster the People format again, but I think those days are done and they're set with EDM being the 4th billed headliner.

It's Firefly you never know. I'd hope 21P is on the second line but they could easily play a 1 1/2 hour Sunday headlining set. Their set list has been like 25 songs deep at MSG.

Brand New and Modest Mouse aren't being blasted on every top 40 station in the country.
Not saying I think 21p should be a headliner, but if they are on the lineup, I can't see how they're not.
