That's too bad. I saw him when he was singing for Bad Brains. It's not nice to speak ill of the dead so I'll just say that We Care A Lot is a cool song.
I thought thejeremy was going to cry. He freaked out when he learned, showed me and I told him I knew. Then he fussed that I didn't tell him (I sent it to him after I posted it here). I thought that Mike Patton was a way better front man, but if it wasn't for Chuck we wouldn't have had Faith No More.
Malcolm Young passed at the young age of 64. He suffered two years with dementia. Rest in peace Malcolm. Thanks for the fun and all those great guitar licks. Prayers for your family and friends.

It seems like almost everyday now someone who lived their music has passed. I remember my dad listening to Mel Tillis. A man with a speech impediment that caused him to stutter except when he sang. Probably are not a lot of people on here listen to country music, but man this was a good songwriter. Rest in peace Mel. Thanks for the memories.

My main exposure to him was in Cannonball Run. But while looking for a clip from that to post, I came across this clip of him essentially performing stand up from an era when country musicians all seemed to be variety show performers.
Yea, not sad to hear Manson died, however I will say that the Manson murders are one of the most fascinating crimes of all time. They were the basis of my senior thematics project, “Music in the Media” and prompted a lifetime fascination with crime dramas and conspiracies.
Don’t get me wrong tho, the dude was bat shit tho and lived way longer than I ever thought he would.
RIP Terry Glenn. Former wide receiver, who played for Ohio State, Dallas Cowboys, New England Patriots, and the Green Bay Packers, passed away in a tragic car accident this morning in Irving. Only 43. His wife is also in critical condition. Sad and awful news.

I didn’t even realize Mel Tillis had passed. I’m home all week with one of the kiddos for Thanksgiving break. Looks like he has a post nap introduction to Cannon Ball Run (both the original and II).
David's Cassidy died today from alcoholism related organ failure. He found fame as the lead singer of the 1970s TV musical group The Partridge Family. He was 67. His mother died at age 89 from dementia related illness. When I was in High School all the girls were "smitten" with David. I had a crush on his TV sister Susan Dey. Rest In Peace David. My condolences to your family and friends.

He has been in the hospital for the last couple of days. Unfortunately this is one of those one situations where it isn't sudden but you slowly are watching, holding your breath and waiting.
Heather Menzies Urich has died of brain cancer, her son told CNN. She was 68 years old. Menzies Urich played Louisa von Trapp in the classic 1965 movie, Sound of Music.
This makes me sad and I guess I know what I will watch tonight.

That's a bummer. We lost Charmaine Carr last year, didn't we?
Someone better be taking good care of Christopher Plummer and Julie Andrews.

For real. Hopefully 2018 won't be as scornful as 2016 and 2017. I can't believe this year is almost over already.
Poet Laureate of South Africa, founder of Black Arts Theatre in Harlem, and father of rapper Earl Sweatshirt, Keorapetse Kgositsile has passed away in Johannesburg at 79. Huge loss and super bummed out for Thebe.
