Yea I was super into the drummer but the vocals are what got me I think.
Spiritualized was really disappointing. We went to the far left side to avoid soundbleed from the tent and they had this massive bright ass light behind the stage that was destroying my pupils. We get up close and there are talkers everywhere and then the sound guy fucked up the guitar seconds before that peak after like 15 minutes of buildup. Talk about blueballs!! I would love to get a chance to see them in smaller venue.
Longinus bitched about that light on their fb and luckily it was off the rest of the weekend. That was a major oversight. How you gonna have the brightest light ever shining on a nighttime crowd at psychedelic concerts?

I was trying to find some friends interested in going over the weekend, and I have one friend who actually went to University of Houston. When I showed him where this was on google maps, he told me the entire area near and around where this is being held is sketchy as hell. Ppl get robbed there on the regular apparently.
So if you are going; be careful, rely on public transportation/ubers, and dont try to walk from the location back to your hotel or anything like that.

so looking at the schedule for last year, it looks like it will be difficult to predict scheduling, other than the most popular names headlining the "red" stage. but it's not like they have a dedicated big room EDM stage, an experimental EDM stage, etc. kind of cool that they diversify the acts between stages, but at the same time i'd like to make educated guesses on what conflicts we'll have.
