Yeah I'm not sure what I'm going to do there Sarge. Buttholes is 9:40-10:40 (too short IMHO) and Bjork is 9:30-11. I'm thinking a half hour cram session of Bjork which will suck because I'm sure they don't have enough vr shit to jet through everything that quick and then the last 45 of the surfers. It really depends on accessibility. I'm sure the blue stage will be inside based on what they have on it. Possibly yellow as well. Red and Green look like they will be outdoors.
why is bjork even on a stage if she's doing the 5 room virtual experience?
She's probably going to run it from there since portions are movies and whatever that they've already completed. Maybe they have soundtracks because she can't run 5 rooms at once. As for Arca, I'll play it by ear. I'm not that much of a fan, but I'm not a hater and haven't seen him yet.

He's produced for Bjork, FKA Twigs, Kalela and Kanye (Rummy 500 wanted to be sold on this.)

Did I? I'm sure I'll check his set out, but I probably ought to give his music some concerted listens in the next three weeks.

I hope whoever is lucky enough to attend the pre-party on Friday and has the pleasure to take their time through Bjork's 4 hour section reports back to us with how lame VR really is, so I won't feel so disappointed for having to miss 95% of her on Sunday. And yeah with shrinking it to half the timeframe, there's no telling how jampacked her space will be and the lines I'm expecting are for this VR thing.

???
It's my understanding that the set on the schedule is just a DJ set on the stage. The VR installation is a 5 room thing thats going to be going on all weekend long. I don't think she has to be physically present for the VR thing, its all like already created. It's a series of VR films and a 5 room installation. I don't think the set effects it at all.
also from the fest website "In addition to her installations, the famed Icelandic artist will perform DJ sets at the Friday night preview party as well as during the festival."
key words- in addition to
The installation should be there all weekend. I am slightly worried about lines to get into it. I was planning on scouting it out Saturday, then trying to get to the fest right when it opens Sunday and checking it out
Wild Moccasins is a local Houston band, but they're pretty good. I saw them open for Belle & Sebastian last year & I know Tejas has seen them a bunch of times.
I can vouch for these guys, I've seen them a bunch of times. Really fun indie pop band, I enjoy them. Its been a few years since I've seen them though, so I'm sure they have a lot of new material since then. I know they've toured with like Of Montreal before
I'm split on seeing them or Travis Scott, I think I'd enjoy the Moccasins set more but I'll have way more chances to see them than Travis Scott in the future

Boiler Room is a collaboration between Day for Night and BR. It's 12/3 and features Rabit, The Haxan Cloak, Abyss X and Kona FM. It's an rsvp event next weekend so it's not part of the festival.
