That's pretty cool for this fest. I'd drive up if they weren't also playing at Merriweather. Does this schedule release eliminate them from other fests? (ACL)
Can't fucking believe they're playing the blue hills in boston. a goddamn travesty, that is by far the worst venue in the city and draws the worst people regardless of who plays.

Come to NY.
Yup, with The Meadows you can line up early for a great spot with fellow invested fans.

I wouldn't rule it out. LCD did ACL and III points (eventually not making due to hurricane I believe). If anything it is the same touring trajectory. Least I hope. so.

If you dont like being around the kids in GA, its time to invest in VIP with the rest of us geriatrics. Or be with the kids, or dont come, I dont care.

My post was not aimed to diss the crowd at The Meadows, but to emphasize that people can create a better experience for themselves compared to the Blue Hills Bank Pavilion which is 100% fixed seating.

Ah gotcha, I thought it was another knock on ppl saying too many youngins lookin to get fucked up go to Founders fests.. Kinda the truth for GA. I strongly recommend VIP. Last year ppl were saying GA for Chance and Kanye was a mad house. Worth the investment.

Based on the Reddit AMA with Founders, they indicated that the crowd control will be better going forward. Possibly due to the addition of barriers like you predominantly see at European festivals.
Must See 2018 List: 1. Drake 2. The Cure 3. David Byrne 4. King Krule 5. Moses Sumney 6. Dua Lipa 7. Mount Kimbie 8. Perfume Genius 9. Yaeji 10. Big Thief

Just realized this is the same weekend as Riot Fest! I think it'll be one or the other for me. Me and the lady are looking for a fall festival this year
2021 08-07: Japanese Breakfast @ Union Transfer 09-08: My Morning Jacket / Brittany Howard @ The Mann 09-18: Soccer Mommy @ Union Transfer 10-01 thru 10-03: Austin City Limits Music Festival 10-19: Waxahatchee @ Union Transfer 10-27: Arlo Parks @ The Foundry 11-09: Squid @ Johnny Brenda's 11-17: Monophonics @ World Cafe Live 12-01: Caribou @ Union Transfer
My friends have never even heard of this festival.
Notice how everyone is freaking out and stoked over a headliner.. Really think if it leaked that Moderat was on the lineup that social media would be going this nuts?

Oh I saw the debate. I dont think anyone can argue that a more popular band being announced for a lineup would get people more excited than a less popular band being announced, even though both are US rarities

That was literally the entire debate. The overwhelming majority of people want acts that they know (headliners and preheadliners: U2, Macca, Kanye, Beyonce, Gorillaz, Lorde, Arctic Monkeys, Childish Gambino, Run the Jewels, Travis Scott, ect.. Thats who moves tickets). Not undercard acts that they don't know, but happen to be rare bookings (they are rare for a reason usually).. But anyway, we went in depth with this already and this isn't the thread to be discussing it again.
