im kinda over drake at this point. he would still be fun live but he's really been doing the same thing since IYRTITL.
I've never been able to buy his whole persona, it has all seemed so contrived and fake to begin with. He is a great taste-maker, but that's it...the guy can't freestyle, there's rumors of ghostwriters, he doesn't self-produce, and he just exploits sounds that are bubbling under (his next target it seems, UK grime).

I can't stand Drake, but More Life is actually pretty good. I haven't liked any of his albums since Thank Me later. Free Smoke, Passionfruit and Blem have been on repeat this past week.

Since IYRTITL, hes done What A Time To Be Alive, Views, and More Life. I would say those 3 projects are all quite different, especially What A Time To Be Alive.

Drake makes a ton of sense for this. I'm not a big hip-hop fan outside of the more genre-bending acts like Kanye and Childish so I just hope that there is good counter-billing.
My biggest complaint of last year was Saturday closing J-Cole vs Pretty Lights. As more of a rock guy I checked both out and neither did anything for me.
I doubt with MIA they will lock down Jay. Meaning if they want a big #1 it's going to be Em or Drake. Not a fan of either but that's realistically the hip hop option Drake/ Future/ EDM, LDR, Bon Iver or another promotion

WATTBA is fun but Drake is the weakest link of what's otherwise an entertaining Future/Metro Boomin mixtape.
For the rest, what @diorama said. The dude is becoming more of an executive producer rather than an artist.
The Meadows & Webster Hall just announced Lizzo 6/15 - safe to say she will be on the lineup. She's pretty awesome, stumbled upon her late night set last year at Roo and was really glad I did. Very fun set!

I hope you were at savages. That was pretty much the end of my night. Drank a couple of beers watching pretty lights before I went home
