Its hard to speculate on who is a headliner at this. We really don't know if they plan on growing the fest or if we should expect something similar to last year.
True. I would assume they would want to grow with bigger headliners but maybe they want to just keep it more balanced and intimate like it was last year.
1st part does seem very Real Estate - ish. 2nd Part sounds funky like Thundercat but he is obviously not an option again. 3rd Part possibly being similar hint of a "sound" in a song much like the D Jr one.

About part 2 I was thinking George Clinton Parliament Funkadelic. They have no conflicting dates and a Dallas show but no Austin show

Also I don't think the noise at the end means anything. It was at the end of the first video they posted for this year's fest with the dragon playing dice or whatever. I think it's just a sound they use
Ugh, COTA. They could have done a 3 night run at Moody which would have been an absolute joy. Ill see em at Voodoo but Id rather enjoy a club show.
I thought for sure they would do 2-3 nights at Moody. Damn it. Halloween LCD will be a blast but I am not looking forward to all the hoops I will have to jump through to make it happen. Nor am I happy about missing Halloween with my kids.

Eh, Im pretty sure 1 night at COTA is more tickets than 3 nights at Moody. Id rather buy 3 Moody tickets than 1 COTA.
Ringo Starr on Halloween at Moody. Maybe if Austin Music Hall was still around that could have been an option. Bomb Factory looks similar to AMH size. Not too many options in Austin after that. Whitewater could have been cool. Does the backyard even have music events anymore? Arcade Fire is at the Frank Erwin center which is a better option than COTA.
