Bomb Factory lists capacity at 4300. Quite a lot smaller than COTA (14,000). If it were a weekend show, I would road trip to Dallas for sure. COTA shows are not as much of a cluster as they were in the beginning, but still a pain.

that's good to hear, haven't been back since '13, but it was such a pain getting there/out.
Ministry and Japandroids as well. They've been confirming guesses on social media and I haven't seen them like any guesses for Real estate or ATDI.
Washed out announced a tour with dallas and houston dates but no Austin date.
I made guess for Real Estate and they liked it on twitter. ATDI was mentioned via BrooklynVegan who usually has close ties with MW/SOS but no confirmation was made.
Do you think they end up giving Charles Bradley or MacDemarco a 2nd booking?
Ugh, COTA. They could have done a 3 night run at Moody which would have been an absolute joy. Ill see em at Voodoo but Id rather enjoy a club show.
I think the best option to travel is Bomb Factory, idk how big a venue it is, but one show was enough for me to want to not see other shows at COTA.
Bomb Factory is one of the best venues in Dallas, and when I saw LCD was touring, I knew Bomb Factory would have been the perfect fit for them. It's a huge wide open space - the perfect spot for a rave/dance hall.

Mac DeMarco is playing with Flaming Lips at Moody Theater on 10/1 and now headlining Stubb's on 10/2

If they don't get Tribe (who admittedly are probably too big for the fest at this point), what big hip hop would they get? Last year they had RTJ, Big Boi & Thugger. I could see them getting like lil Yachty or post Malone towards the bottom of the top 12-ish but I just can't think of any big hip hop artists to be in the top 6. Danny Brown is gonna be in Europe & ATCQ is most likely a pipe dream. They could come out of left field with something like Mobb Deep or Digable Planets but neither of those are big enough to be top 6
They actually tour this show quite regularly, but still a good time none the less.
Was really hoping for Tripping Daisy. Hopefully that run of shows in Dallas wasn't the extent of it. Maybe Dayfornight can book them as this year's Butthole Surfers.
