Just bought my student ticket! Weird, last year I had to fill it out a separate form for a student ticket and it got denied...none of that process this go around. All tickets go up a week from today.

They had the Rockn to Lockn finale on-site Saturday. According to the festival forums, they went with 4 bands instead of 3: Kendall St Co., Sun-dried Opossum, Anthony Rosano & the Conqueroos, and Mighty Joshua. A friend of mine from UVA who always goes with me is really close with the guys in Kendall St Co, I know they're excited. Also, they're releasing single day tickets on Wednesday.
That Friday looks mighty fine laid out like that. Would love for Antibalas to get a longer set though. Same goes for HGM on Saturday
I gave the time to Marcus king because I love him. Totally self serving. I'd imagine that he gets 45 minutes and sinkane and antibalas both get an hour

I mean yeah, Marcus should also get a decent length set. In a perfect world, no artist at a fest like this would get anything under an hour.

Nicole Atkins website has Saturday listed for Lockn and Dirty Dozen Brass Band has Sunday.
My guess is it will be: Midnight North LN Thursday, Nicole Atkins Band LN Friday, and DDBB closing out that stage Saturday night. Would like to see Dirty Dozen Brass Band after Widespread as is.

Seems odd Marcus King Band/Tauk are playing so early on Friday. Hoping to rally that morning for them and proceed to nap-lay around until Jim James. 35ish days out!

I'll be seeing Marcus at Peach and have seen Tauk a ton this year so Friday is my sleeping in day in my head. In reality, I will probably get no sleep all weekend and be a mess on Monday.

I wouldn't skip out on Sinkane and Antibalas
I definitely want to check them out. But if they play in poster order I should be able to sleep in and catch them. Marcus will go on around noon or so right? It is damn likely that I don't sleep at all. I really dont WANT to miss anything. I'm just getting too old for the amount of partying I do haha

They usually show them in order, which would mean Marcus would be on at 10-11am

The poster will be the order of the schedule. The Blue Ridge openers will come on each day between 10:30 - 11. If you haven't been before, prepare for Bonnaroo heat if not worse. Virginia in late August can get pretty damn hot...last year on Friday, it got up to 94/95.
There really is hardly any time throughout the day that I don't want see an act playing.

You can do a little camping in day parking. Last year I saw a few people setup tents and small ez-ups beside their car. It's prob frowned upon and you can't get the full effect like everybody else....but you can make it work for a night or two.

I'm going to get a camping pass and just head out when I'm ready on Saturday. I'm looking forward to the McGregor Mayweather fight that night, even though it will probably be terrible.

According to people "in the know" in the moe.ron community, Rob will not be at Lockn'. They canceled their own set and the other members will be doing the Phil set.
Yeah - everybody on the Lockn boards is assuming there won't be a moe. set, just a longer set with Phil.
I was planning to leave pretty early Sunday morning anyways cause I will have to be in the office Monday (thought about skipping Thursday so I could have all Sunday and Monday out of the office...been too long though for me not seeing Umph). Really hate how it all has played out. Been a lot of anticipation for moe. at Lockn over the years.
Someone on the Lockn boards posted a letter from the previous EMS company stating that they are no longer working the event and attendance is capped at 15k. Could be they are just estimating that but still seems like we will have a much smaller Lockn this year.

Seems odd. I can remember in the FB live Q&A with Frey, somebody asked about capacity...his answer was more or less it's not an issue they will have to worry about or pay attention to.
I'm fine with the 15K cap if true. Not too crowded at camp nor a far walk, and easy to get around shows.

I remember those comments...my impression was they could handle any size...doubting a cap that low.
