Welp, I think I've solved why the whole second half of the lineup looks so unfamiliar.
I think they're skipping the fanfare of revealing the club stage artists separately this year (or at least, they won't be introducing them as 'lineup additions').
Last year's initial lineup release included just over 100 acts. This year's initial lineup has nearly 150.

GoGo Penguin was great at that Coachella you pretended to go to.
post animal and the regrettes are my faves out of this entire list, and they're way towards the bottom. honestly im surprised that dua lipa wasn't given the boot especially after the whole n word controversy

Hopefully they're just as good at the Bonnaroo I'm gonna pretend to go to.
It’s pretty sorry that ‘roo is sharing two of the top three headliners with Bottlerock. I didn’t realize that at first.
It'd be fine if the two they were sharing were good artists. Last year they could have had Foo Fighters and Tom Petty, which is worlds better than this
FWIW I go to way more festivals now than when I was in college because I have a steady job and friends with steady jobs. That might change when I start a family.

I'm trying to squint hard enough to like this lineup but don't think it's going to happen. What's the atmosphere at Shaky Knees like? No camping is a turnoff, but their lineup is so much quacking better.

Shaky Knees has the best crowd I've seen. Almost everyone is just there for the music.

So there’s 148 acts listed, does this include club stages already? I’m also thinking Kalliope acts are billed? Last year it was around 100 names on lineup day IIRC
- Dua Lipa went from 37th to 12th. - Kevin Abstract (this year as part of BROCKHAMPTON) went from fuckin' 89th to 26th.
Both in just a year lol.
Brockhampton deserves it though.
Oh I'm definitely chill with that. Especially since it's technically a different act. It's extra dope cos I'm pretty sure they actually premiered their show on Viceland the same night as Kevin's Roo performance. They had footage playing in the background during.
