As glad as I am that I got to see them because of this, they did bring the strokes back too soon. I’m not complaining because it was incredible and I’d waited years to see them but had I gone in 14 I would be a little miffed
The set in 2016 was way better though.
I saw both those fest sets, and they were both fantastic!
LiveNation doing their spring arena tour, playing the Innings fest (LiveNation) in March, etc.
Unfortunately not. They didn't sell out the Garden this past week - and were giving away tickets on the subway. When I checked last week almost the entire upper bowl was available.

That’s what I heard. I loved every second of it. Left me shocked people said bad things about them live

In all fairness, the only other time I saw them was at Roo 2011, and they did suck.. But a lot of that could also be attributed to the crappy sound on the Which stage and the dust that was clogging my lungs at that point.

They were terrible at Roo. And late I believe. And kind of dicks too

Couldn't headline but they could play against the actual headliner.

Phoenix headlined this fest last year and at this point I think Queens are as big- if not bigger than Phoenix.

I won't argue with you there - but would Founders book a band to headline their festival after not selling out MSG is what I'm saying.

Somebody basically confirmed it on here that Queens of the Stone Age were in talks to play The Meadows, but Founders wanted them as a sub and they wanted to be a headliner only so it fell through.
If Founders didn't want them headlining their secondary festival, I doubt they'd want them for their flagship festival.

It may be the secondary festival but this year the headliners for Meadows were much better than Gov Ball
When do we think they start dropping hints for this thing? A couple weeks maybe?
Didn't start last year till December 19th (Lineup was January 4th or 5th I believe) so unless they release the lineup much earlier (which they won't) I imagine it'll be just about the same...assuming they do hints again
