No offense meant, but I'd say you're in the minority of not knowing N.E.R.D. If they were to play I think if the opposing headliner spot has been given to M83 and Robyn and Flume, N.E.R.D. for sure qualifies (to me at least)
Arcade Fire is probably the "indie/rock" headliner, imagine the other two will EDM/Pop/Hip-Hop. LDR could be a sub. That Newark show is not selling well.

Have to think N.E.R.D would be 4-6 on this. They would not close out the Gov Ball stage, but could close out Honda or sub on Gov Ball and still be on the first line of the poster like Beck was.
Headliner means you close out the main stage only to me. Childish was a sub last year due to a miscalculation of the audience.

If I remember correctly Childish was also on the top line of the poster along with the 3 headliners as well
Gov Ball: Pearl Jam | Kendrick Lamar | Vampire Weekend Future | The xx | N.E.R.D.
Pano: Chance the Rapper | Arctic Monkeys | Bon Iver Missy Elliott | Yeah Yeah Yeahs | St. Vincent
Meadows: Eminem | Justin Timberlake | The Killers J. Cole | The Chainsmokers | A$AP Rocky
There is no way Chance headlines Pano after headlining 2 Founders Fests in NY recently.
Love the Gov Ball lineup though. Maybe switch Future w/ Nicki Minaj or Lana so that there is a female performer in the Top 6.
For some reason I had it in my head that Lana's tour was hitting NYC. Also remembered The xx are in London the weekend before GB. So switch out those two and keep Future

LDR is playing the area (Newark) in early Jan so...could still possibly mean she is playing a summer fesival date here.
I'm still holding out hope for a return Bjork engagement, what with her new album coming out, and all.
Unfortunately I'm guessing with her playing that All Points East fest in London that she might stick around Europe for the early summer
You're probably right. I do hope that GovBall gives us a female (or female-fronted) headliner this year. It's past time. I'm trying to think who that could be, though - the only two possibilities I've seen kicked around are Missy (which would be awesome) and Yeah Yeah Yeahs (which most people I've seen so far have chalked up more as a Panorama band).
Any other potentials, there, that anyone can think of?

Both of those are more likely for Pano (Missy did FYF this year) and neither would headline Gov Ball

Fair point, although I have to admit I'd be a bit bummed. I was totally underwhelmed by her show at Global Citizen last year, other than "Stay" (I know we differ on that one, Launchpad ).

Yeah Yeah Yeahs couldn't even fill half the Barclays Center in 2013 and they are WAY off the radar of the 18-25 demo so no way they'd headline. Even having them play opposite a headliner is a stretch at this point.

You're right. I have to keep reminding myself that I'm old and that there are a lot of artists I think are more relevant than they are thanks to the perception-altering ravages of time.
That said, I don't know that them playing opposite a headliner would be out of the question. I mean, we've had bands like M83 and My Morning Jacket as counter-headliners the past few years. I love both those bands, but I don't believe either one could sell out an arena, here, and I think YYY - especially in New York - would be more of a draw.
