Think there will be more dates added? It's on a holiday weekend so lot of folks out of town meaning there will probably be demand for additional nights the next week.
I think you should have a pretty good chance if you're on AXS at 12 on Friday. Also vivid/stubhub the week of might go down near face value with a lot of people going away last minute.
Love Brooklyn Steel but kind of wish they did 2-3 nights in Prospect Park instead. Phoenix outside is magical.
Was thinking the same thing. Phoenix aren't a band I've ever wanted to see in a more intimate setting. They're built for big crowds and sunsets

I absolutely agree...but I'll still be busting my ass to get tickets this Friday. Empty field or not, last year's set at GovBall was spectacular.
I don't think these Phoenix tickets will be THAT hard to get across 3 nights. They headlined Gov Ball and the new album went nowhere (even if's pretty awesome).

Problem is that Brooklyn Steel is tiny. That's only 5,400 tickets available all together for a pretty reasonable price. That's smaller than 1 Summerstage show.
They'll go really fast, but hopefully the people who really want them and show up at 12pm will get them.

I figured they'd do 2x Radio City or Forrest Hills. If this is their NYC stop for this album cycle, have to imagine more nights will be added.
Did VHS Collection just get added to Saturday, or were they there all along and I just totally missed it?
I'm a pretty big of fan. Will be a really fun early Saturday set.
I literally just discovered them this past week through Spotify, and they are so up my alley. I was intrigued by Loyle Carner, so that’s a bit of a bummer, but given how much I’m digging VHS, that’s a net upgrade for my tastes.

Tame Impala and Tool have both done that in the last year.
But just know that I will personally call you out and get security if I have to, if I see any of you fuckers using your phone during Jack's Gov Ball set.
Wow, yeah, this totally negates all the amazing music he's written and played over the past couple decades.
eh, that's debatable
Blunderbuss is a great album Lazaretto has a handful of really great songs Respect Commander is one of his most inventive yet. I don’t need to tell you how much the White Stripes did

I was kind of hoping The Raconteurs would get back together at some point. Jack and Brendan Benson were great frontmen and Pat Keeler was, at least to me, his best drummer in any band. Carla Azar was a very close second.

I'm still hoping. Seems like one of those things where if the timing worked out for all of them it could happen.
Just got PIT tickets to his Artpark show. I love the phone baggy theme but hey maaaaaaaaaaaan at least you dont have to hear me complaining about you at the show!

I was going to try and go to the Artpark show but the phone bag thing is ridiculous. I have three kids. I can't cut off communication with them and their caregivers for 3 or 4 hours.
I don't have a problem with the premise. I have been to Tool shows. I don't take pictures or videos if requested. But taking away my emergency contact with anyone not in the venue is B.S. to me.

You can always walk up to security have them open the yondr pouch and step outside if you need to make a call.

I would be waiting on emergency calls/texts from my children or caregivers. I don't want to be walking to security and stepping outside every 15 minutes to make sure everything is OK. I want to enjoy a show. What if someone legitimately needs to get a hold of me for an emergency? What if someone close to you died? What if my child was in the hospital? What if my house was on fire? Oh sorry, Jack Whiite wouldn't let me check my texts, I didn't see that for four hours doesn't cut it for me.

What would you have done twenty years ago before cell phones became ubiquitous?

You would have your phone with you. It would just be in the pouch. I would just tell everyone to only text/call you during that time if it is a crazy emergency, then you head to security and theyll help you out.
I get that it isnt ideal given your situation though.

It's not 20 years ago though......and I would have been drinking at some college party so it probably never would have crossed my mind.
