So, hey, folks for whom Cut Copy is one of the main draws: I’ve always been aware of them, but never really *into* them. What are some essential tracks? Help me make a potential decision between them and Manchester Orchestra either harder, or a no-brainer in Cut Copy’s favor.
Feel the Love, Time Stands Still, So Haunted, Going Nowhere, Need You Now, Glittering Clouds
In GovBall alum news, I'll see you mofos at Phoenix on 7/7.
FUUUUUUCK I forgot those went on sale
edit: And its sold out now... Ugh.
I was just testing it out, and was able to get through for a Friday ticket, so you could still have a shot if you're able to go one of the other two days.
EDITED TO ADD: I was also just now able to get through on the app for a Saturday 7/7 ticket. I've already bought my limit, but it does look like they might be releasing them in waves.

Snagged Phoenix for Thursday! They seem to still be available so maybe we overreacted to the frenzy to get them. As opposed to the LCD shows, these are 6 months which may be why.
I'm sure he'll still bring it live but I will never listen to any of these new JW tracks ever again. FWIW James Blake's new song sounds like a cd skipping for 4 straight minutes so I personally think that's garbage too.
Have to agree, I think it's pretty bad. Was digging it at first but then it dragged and was just too much at the end.
I'd rank it so far:
1. Respect Commander 2. Connected By Love 3. Corporation
I kind of dig that Jack's getting weird. I don't know how it'll sit with me over the long term, but I can at least appreciate the experimentation. Plus, I honestly think someone's going to make a sick remix of "Corporation," at some point.

I definitely like the weirdness I just don't think it has been executed very well so far.
The gf wants to go to Post Malone instead of Jack White, and after this newest song, I'm not as inclined to fight her on it.
Even if the new album is all shit his show will still be incredible. Jack has the best stage presence of anyone I've ever seen, and his setlists are half White Stripes stuff.
It's been a while since I've watched Community and I sometimes forget that that was the same Donald Glover who made Atlanta and Awaken My Love. What a dude

It’s even weirder when he pops up in random roles in 30 Rock. Crazy talented even back when he was just a writer on the show.

I've been a fan of his acting since the Derrick Comedy days. I've literally only started taken his music seriously since his Grammy-nominated album came out.
