Yea, there are some normal seats in there but I prefer just getting the GA floor and being free to move about. They've upgrade the bathroom situation (used to be just straight up porto potties but now they're a little more legit like Roo has done near some of the campsites) and have some good vendors there. And it's easy to go in early and get food/drinks and head to the show.
Definitely not a bad venue. Just the bleachers kind of suck. Go for lower level ( I think those green looking seats a bit lower have backs and arm rests) or floor and you're good to go.
I think part of it depends on the show, too. I was in the bleachers for MMJ, and, really, the only sitting my friends and I did was between Gary Clark, Jr.'s last song and MMJ's first. As soon as "Circuital" started, everyone was on their feet and stayed that way throughout. People in our section were super-cool when it came to folks needing to move around, and the vibe, overall, was pretty great.
To sum up: I could see how sitting on those things for a couple of hours could be uncomfortable, but I haven't seen a show there yet for which I'd sit for that long.
PS - I realize this is totally a YMMV situation, too, so take all the above as you will.

Yea, Van Morrison was more of a sitting show so it wasn't as great. The show was good but the seating and movement were tough.
Since I think the FH will sell out, I'm thinking of buying 1 GA floor ticket in order to get a presale code for BK Steel..in that case I'll resell my GA ticket for FH...idk if that would work.

That would work but I don't think the show will sell out. GA will though, so you should probably be alright reselling it.

Just to be sure dont resell it until after BK Steel.
this looks like it says one thing but really it says “I know something you don’t know nya nya”
Pretty sure I have said before that they are doing Forest Hills on here. But I am just legit not on social media right now. Sorry if you took it the wrong way.
Forest Hills is going to get a lot of good shows this year. Pretty positive Arctic Monkeys are doing two nights there instead of Pano in late summer early fall.
OMG if you're right about Arctic Monkeys I'm gonna lose my shit. I'm moving to Forest Hills in 3 weeks, only a couple blocks from the venue, and I'm so stoked to hit up all these shows.
People hate on the 10pm curfew but I love it. I guess I'm an old fart who likes to be in bed at a reasonable hour haha.

I still feel like FH is a bit ambitious for PTM even if they've had a massive hit. They didn't even sell out the Starland Ballroom in NJ last fall. That being said, I'm happy for them. I thought I was late to the party as I got into them in 2009 when they were already on their 4th album and figured they'd be one of those bands left to die playing the 4pm side-stage slots at festivals so it's cool to see them doing so well.
Fun fact about Forest Hills, the second concert I ever saw was at that stadium in 1997. It was the first 92.3 K-Rock (remember that station?) Dysnfucational Family Picnic headlined by Bush (ah 1997) also featuring Luscious Jackson, Foo Fighters, Blur, Echo & The Bunneymen and Soul Coughing. Bush was huge at the time so they obviously headlined but what I found odd was that Luscious Jackson played AFTER Foo Fighters.

I feel like Forrest Hills has become the go-to for the "We're not sure if we're ready to play an arena yet" act as well as the "we filled an arena when we were hot but now we're not sure if we can do it again so this is a good halfway point" act. Arctic Monkeys feel like they could still do an MSG/Barclays in the area especially with all the UK transplants here.
I am going to ask them to consider making the fest at least 18+
Yea this is probably the "youngest" crowd I have encountered at any multi day festival I have ever been to. Didn't matter to me but I think it would serve well to go to 18+
I doubt they'd answer this honestly, but I'd be really interested in knowing how they think about competing with AEG/Goldenvoice for acts and how difficult it is to sign an act like Yeah Yeah Yeahs or NERD that both are probably vying for and if they put restrictions in place from sharing.
Top 10 shares zero acts outside of Eminem with Coachella and I'm too lazy to look it up but don't think it was historically that way.

Ha, I can't tell if that was said in jest but making it 18+ wouldn't solve all the young drunken problems. Plus, as someone who has been attending concerts since the age of 12, some of my most shaping moments of my youth came from seeing live music between the ages of 12-17 and I'd hate to take that away from other people.

I'm pretty sure they get asked this question every time and have the same answer:
"We understand your concern, but we all grew up experiencing amazing festivals and shows when we were teenagers and it's the reason we got into music and started Gov Ball, so we'd hate to take that away from the next generation."

Whoops yeah that one went over my head. Anyways here are my Q's planned:
• What was with that random Bon Iver teaser in your past AMA since he hasn't shown up on any Founders lineups since
• Is Gaslight Anthem closing the Honda Stage on Saturday Night. Follow up if the answer if no: Why is Halsey a thing?
• Was Brand New scheduled to play Gov Ball 2018 before the allegations broke? (they won't touch this question with a 10 foot pole)
• Is Pearl Jam and/or Vampire Weekend playing the Meadows? DM me if yes I can keep a secret.

I don't see why they wouldn't answer the Brand New question. If the answer is yes then the only takeaway is that they didn't want that piece of shit playing their festival
If you get a DM on that Pearl Jam/Vampire Weekend Q make sure you come here immediately to let us know
