Damn the NYC show is so fucked. I was putting in that code right at 10am but it wouldnt accept it until 10:05....and then it was only single seats available.
EDIT: Finally got 2 tickets in my cart in the 200 sections but they came to $163 each after fees so I dumped them. Makes no sense to me why the upper level tickets cost the same as the floor.
lot of artists now a days are releasing an extremely small amount of seats at the lower price point just so they can have 45-125 as the listed price range
the ticket game is fucked. sometimes i wish i didnt love live music as much as i do. Ive been a big Gambino fan for a long time and only got see a mid day fest set years ago but an upper level ticket coming out to 95 its insane.

I've said this a few times but in various threads but MSG is, hands down, the HARDEST arena to pull good seats first-hand. There are a number of corporate sponsors and brokers who have their hands in the pool well before any of the general public. Additionally, most of the acts hold back the best seats and feed them directly to scalpers (it's literally in the tour rider in some cases). People like to blame it on bots but really it's just about the acts trying to give the perception that they price seats fairly. That's why a lot of the best seats for arena shows these days are part of VIP packages. It's basically a way to sell the seats at the actual market value with a few cheap add-ons.
He is for sure doing another night. AMEX presale is gone, unless they're releasing in waves in which case I'll be a little upset I just dropped 130 on the 5th row in the upper bowl

I had finally gotten first row of the upper bowl for MSG....go to checkout, need to update the billing address on my credit card, and the screen just goes white and I lose the tickets. When I try to get tickets again I get a message saying I've refreshed ticketmaster too many times and I'm blocked for 24 hours. Urghhh he better announce a 2nd night otherwise I'm paying out the ass on Stubhub.

Well Childish is in DC on a Wednesday and I just hit the Childish Presale and Amex presale, and I wasnt able to get in for either presale. This is apparently a really really hot show
There's a bunch of tickets left for MSG at the upper levels and AMEX for lower... so I believe this won't sell out that fast (could be the price of the upper level tickets) but as for now I'll wait.

Ah wish I had an AMEX....lots of good seats open in the lower bowl for their presale. I'd be fine paying $160 for lower bowl but thats just absurd for upper bowl. I'm just gonna hope that its not hard to get those seats in the general on sale.
But seriously this show better have some amazing stage production. I saw Kanye on the Yeezus and Pablo tours for half the price.

Well, yes, this is indeed a hot tour (thus making NYC tickets even harder than usual). My point is that, on top of the usual shenanigans when you're dealing with a non-GA show competing for seat position, MSG is even more difficult for your average consumer. Adding to that is that this is the most populated area in the country so acts that can't fill arenas in other areas can usually fill MSG. Some past "WTF? Really" Madison Square Garden alumni include acts like Interpol and Passion Pit.

Spot on. I also think it's become some sort of rite of passage/bragging right for artists to claim they've played MSG, regardless of whether it's good business. I remember seeing Eric Prydz there for EPIC 3.0, and the place was half empty.

Motherfuck. I knew I shoulda waited until the seat by seat chart was out. I'm way too eager. Oh well
IDK if someone cares about them but Beach House just released 2 NY dates on August 22-23, fuck they keep announcing shows every week my wallet can't keep it up.

I'm going to at least 50% of the shows you have listed in your signature. Gonna wait on Beach House though. Don't think it'll be hard to get in second hand and I don't need to be super close since it's more about the music/vibe and visuals.

For real. My wife and I just had a serious talk about whether we can finagle a way to afford every show we want to see this year. It's nuts.

Just a heads up regarding Gambino - 2 new presales started this morning. Internet Presale (Password: DAYLIGHT) and a Chase Preferred Seating presale.
I was able to get 2 floor tickets with the Chase presale. Still can't believe this shit came to $315 for the pair, but I can justify it for being on the floor.

Damn......some expensive tickets far from the stage. Don't see great floor seats but the higher ups are still pricey. I really want to see this show, though. Hmmmm

What's everyone's opinion on good seating for MSG. Like would you rather be far away but in the upper section and directly across from the stage? Or is it maybe better to get one on the side and closer?
I'm pulling up tickets in the middle 200's (208-213) and then way across from the stage (floor-ish but way in the back for sections 01 and 03. Or in the upper decks).
