Started to get psyched for this, may be one of my last Gov Balls before real life responsibilities take over. Here's who I'm hoping to catch each day
FRIDAY
Jack White Yeah Yeah Yeahs James Blake Maggie Rogers Tash Sultana Alvvays Wolf Alice Flight Facilities Two Feet Sir Sly Pond
SATURDAY
The Gaslight Anthem Halsey Cut Copy Manchester Orchestra Japandroids Lany Moses Sumney Aurora Mikky Ekko
SUNDAY
Chvrches Sylvan Esso Dirty Projectors Third Eye Blind The Struts Middle Kids Alice Merton
If there's anyone else you good Inforoo people feel I'm leaving out based on my tastes from the above, lemme know.
If you're into getting there early, I'd recommend Slaves (UK) on Friday - it's kind of the garage rock duo thing meets British punk, and I've been digging it. Likewise, I'll chime in for The Regrettes early Saturday, along with a second for VHS Collection. I'll also put in a word for Confidence Man - it's kind of obnoxious electro-clash, and I wanted to hate it at first, but it won me over. The only downside is that they're going to be, like, first on Sunday, and no one's going to be drunk/high/rolling enough for the ridiculous dance party their show should be.
Here's a question: Has anyone heard anything at all about Silk City other than who's involved and that it's a disco project? That's such a huge wild card for me on Saturday.

I've only heard radio silence on Silk City since their announcement in January. Gov Ball Reddit says that Silk City is going to be up against Russ, who is someone I'm kinda not feeling, so I feel like I'm going to give Silk City a try. Especially since I want to stay away from the after-prom party that Main Stage is going to be from Sundown to Closing with Halsey into Travis Scott.
So is American eagle stage a tent? If so that's gonna be terribly overcrowded for the later acts.... also with the bicardi stage now being open isn't that going to make it really difficult to walk across the grounds?

Yes, the American Eagle Stage is under a tent. Just like the Pavilion Stage, which is in the exact same location at Panorama. Pano has never had any overcrowding with this set-up, however Gov Ball does have more fest-goers.

The Pavillion is such a great stage. I'm trying to think of the most crowded set I've ever seen there. Maybe Tyler last year? Even then I showed up late and was still able to see just fine.

That NERD/CHVRCHES conflict really stings. Friday is all fire.
Jack White vs. James Blake is brutal, but, yeah, NERD/CHVRCHES is the real heartbreaker for me, too.
Friday Slaves (UK) > Pond > Wolf Alice > Alvvays > Maggie Rogers > Tash Sultana > Yeah Yeah Yeahs > Damian Marley (until I leave to get a better spot for Jack White) > Jack White
Saturday The Regrettes > VHS Collection > Moses Sumney (choosing this over Jay Electronica is also a little rough) > The Menzingers > Japandroids > Cut Copy > Brockhampton/Manchester Orchestra (game-time decision) > Silk City > Gaslight Anthem
Sunday Confidence Man > Middle Kids > Billie Eilish > The Struts > Margo Price > Third Eye Blind > Dirty Projectors > CHVRCHES > Sylvan Esso > Eminem
If I stick to that schedule, I can top last year's slate by one set, 28 to 27. Sweet.
Another interesting note: Friday, I am currently all GovBall/Bacardi stages. Saturday, only Japandroids (Bacardi) and Cut Copy (GovBall) are in that part of the field - the rest are American Eagle and Honda. Sunday's more mixed.
