I didn't even realize CHVRCHES had released anything new. Just listened to the 3 singles on Spotify...are they aiming for a more Top 40 sound with this album? Not sure I'm feeling any of it. Also 4 singles before the album drops, are any of these doing anything at radio?

I'm a big chvrches fan, and yes, they're going poppier this time around. They're also working with a producer for the first time. Get Out is the one that gets played a lot on the alt indie station by me.
The only single I really like is the one with the dude in the national

Miracle is such an over produced mess. It sounds like an Imagine Dragons song featuring Lauren Mayberry.
Contacted Eventbrite about the Chvrches tickets, they said they will be emailed day of in case anyone was still wondering.
A bit surprised we haven't gotten them yet
Should have been delivered by now. If you haven't received, I'd recommend contacting Eventbrite via email, they're usually pretty quick with responses.
On another note, does anyone know if it's show at 7 or doors at 7? I'm assuming doors 7, opener 8 Chvrches 9 but let me know if anyone hears otherwise.
Y'all how was CHVRCHES, ugh I had to drop out at the last minute
I thought it was really great. The addition of a live drummer adds a little bit of oomph to an already energetic show. They were in good spirits and Lauren was more active on stage than I've ever seen her. It was a tiny room for them, but the crowd was super into it, at least where I was standing. And they didn't oversell the place, which made for a better experience than the last time I saw them, packed in like a sardine at Terminal 5.
They played five new songs in 17: "Get Out," "Graffiti," "God's Plan," "Miracle," "Forever," and "Never Say Die" (This being Brooklyn, I was kind of hoping for "My Enemy" and a Matt Berninger cameo, but alas). I dug the new stuff more live than I have recorded, and it didn't seem jarringly different or out step with the better-known material, at least by my lights. Imagine Dragons-y or not, "Miracle" kind of rocked - I wouldn't call it their best song, but there was none of that, "We'll just wait this out until they get back to the stuff we know" energy that can sometimes happen when it's time for music from the new album.
I dunno. I'm something of a CHVRCHES stan, but I had a great time and I think it's going to be a kick-ass set at the festival.

I enjoyed the show a lot. Band was on point and new songs sounded excellent. I still don't know why they let the guy on the right sing 2 songs in the set as those tracks are usually just....not that good. Ditto for hoping for "My Enemy" as well. Was my first time at Elsewhere and I really liked the place though it's the middle of fucking NOWHERE. I also didn't realize that they were ensuring the name on the tickets scanned matched one of the ID's given at the venue which screwed a few people over. I got mine legit so weren't any issues.
On another note, someone ripped a terrible smelling ROTTEN EGG FART during the 2nd song which lingered for a bit.
