Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
I'd be against this. It seems like I'd be used more to sabotage other movies then to add anything significant to one.
That's a legitimate concern. Anybody else have thoughts?
I don't think we need to draft locations because so many movies are tied to specific places. But I feel like there are remakes of things that take liberty with setting so I wouldn't care if someone remade their movie in a different location. But obviously certain things can't do that.
So for score are we doing it like "____ covers the soundtrack/score" or putting limits on original songs?
If you want, you can draft someone to do the score.
As far as soundtracks go, you can draft a specific artist doing a cover of a song from the original's soundtrack. Or multiple songs.
Or you don't have to do a score of soundtrack. It depends on the movie you're making. Like, if I'm redoing Schindler's List, I probably wouldn't bother with musical choices but might draft a cinematographer.

I would think that it would be sufficient to just designate the location in your description if it's important but I don't think that it needs to be exclusive.
I completely agree voting should be open longer - maybe 2 or 3 days per round. I check in here just about every day, sometimes multiple times a day, and I only caught the first round voting in the last hour it was open (and I missed almost all the dispute polls). I'd like to get more input from posters who aren't quite as active as some of us.

I'd be fine with going up to 2 days on the voting, but I think any longer than that is likely to just drag out the end of the game without getting a significant amount of additional votes.
No, we don't need twenty. I figured I'd give it a little bit just in case there are any stragglers. This is a bit of a different exercise and a lot of people hate the drafts anyways so I expected it to take a bit longer than the five minutes or so for the Bonnaroo draft. I'll lock stuff up this evening after I put the kid to bed.
I'll also update the OP to reflect a 48 hour window for the polls and to make locations undraftable.
Other than Sean Connery and Rick Moranis, are there any more potential draftees that we need to state are "out" that anyone can think to mention? I thought that the criteria was fairly clear cut (nothing on the books from the previous five or upcoming two years, unretired) but there are always potential question marks...
