Once you have drafted your film, please also designate the role that he will be playing.
Can we start a poll to overturn this rule. I understand it makes for a more exciting draft when peoples choices are limited but I'd much rather see the best possible set ups at the end, which is more likely if people have more fexibility. The vote would be for whether roles can be chosen at any time or immediately as chosen(as we currently have it)

First, rules are not changed via poll but by thirteen people voting to do so at this point.
Second, once your film has been selected, what is the harm in announcing the role of the actor that you have drafted? It's not like you're going to draft someone and figure out what role they'll be playing at the end.

I didn't just mean their character but also their role in the film like directer, cinematography etc. The first problem is drafting someone in a specific role can be a tipoff to where you go next. Someone could be draft also person A to pair with person B for a specific film. If that film is taken by someone else A and B could still be perfectly useful, just not in their current roles. I have a bunch of scenarios in my mind but I don't want to ruin anyones draft board. Anyways this wont slow down the current drafting if it's kept as an open vote how it was done in the previous draft, my vote is to not require roles to be immediately assigned.
Once again, this draft order is some boooooooshit!
I agree with black bush that we should have more flexibility in our draftees' roles. If you draft Jim Henson (to use an ineligible example) as your producer and later decide you want him as a voice actor instead, that should be your decision.

I don't think that I agree with your premise. It would require that a) someone else shares your vision for the project that you're working on and b) has designs for an individual that you have in mind or wants to take someone just to mess with your vision.
We entered this with a (fairly) clear vision for how this would unfold and obfuscating things just on the off chance that it will give you an edge over everyone else doesn't seem like a good enough reason to me.
That said, does anyone else want to jump on board and second black bush's rule change?

This isn't about obfuscating in the attempt to gain an edge. It's about having the ability to change direction if your vision is no longer possible.
I have updated the OP to reflect the request for a rule change.
I do not have a vote in this but I am going to voice my opinion in opposition to changing any rules:
A) It changes the game that we signed up for B) Inevitably it creates drama C) In the past, people have ended up regretting the rule changes D) Changing rules is annoying (This is the most important reason.)
So what your getting at is if you do, Actor-Director-Writer-Actor-Score-Film, at the point you take Film, you would need to go back and label your actors? I think that adds a ripple into waiting for a film later so as not to show your hand by taking specific people, and I don't necessarily think it hurts someone who does Film-Director-Actor (who would have to announce role asap), but I'm also not sure it's necessary. Especially if you think you've got a versatile actor and maybe if someone drops further than youd expect theyd be better at that role. Actors try out for role A and get selected for role B all the time.

Smoke is starting to billow out of the dumpster...
Why is a disagreement over the way the rules work automatically the sign of a total meltdown? Do people in your world not ever just talk something out and make a decision?

Probably not the right place for this but in short: there's a difference between not disclosing information that shouldn't be required and going out of your way to throw people off from an apparent truth.
Maybe it's just me but I love the tangents we go on in these drafts lol

A) I do regret not bringing this up earlier B) If things are done in the open and according to the rules I dont know what to say to them C) No regrets bruh!!!!! D) Annoying rules are annoying
