Bonnascoot I'd go ahead and add Angel Olsen to either "be on the lookout" or "likely." Her tour manager told some friends and I that she would be at Shaky. I don't really have a way to verify if she backs out because he's only a friend of a friend. But he said it's a go like a month ago and she's announced tour dates since then that don't include Atlanta.

Had her on there awhile ago, must have accidentally deleted her off the list. Fixed

Nice!
Also Yo La Tengo just added a show at Terminal West in April so I'd put them down as "unlikely."
We've never shared a HLer with Okee before, but with Arcade Fire being at Okee this year, anyone think they could also be here?
fingers crossed. they went to south florida twice this year and are still going back through for a festival next year so i don't think them being in duluth would mean they wouldn't come back again to atlanta if shaky wanted them. the last dates they have next year are in europe though but they end on april 28.

thank God this lineup is too good to actually happen, the conflicts would murder me
Radiohead is in South America 4/11-4/25...JF and SK?
That is almost certainly not going to happen, but god damnit do I hope it does happen. I'll be sitting at the rail as soon as soon as the gates open. The sad part is that SK is likely to kill me with at least four conflicts that I would want to leave the main stage for, but I've got to be rail next time I see radiohead

Yeah, i would have to seriously consider vip if they got booked.

I could see Radiohead being booked at SK on their next tour/album cycle. They're one of the biggest headliners a festival can get but they still do play some smaller fests (NorthSide Denmark, Best Kept Secret).
They haven't ever played ATL twice in the same album cycle though, so I think their show here from this year would probably make them a lot less likely.

Hoping for some mishmash of the following artists based on genre, tour availability, new album releases, and pure, unadulterated wishful thinking (and in no particular order): QOTSA, Beck, Modest Mouse, Jack White, Fleet Foxes, Jim James, Foster the People, Future Islands, Flaming Lips, Spoon, Cold War Kids, Flogging Molly, Manchester Orchestra, Front Bottoms, Dashboard, Brian Fallon, Franz Ferdinand, New Found Glory, Mac DeMarco, Django Django, Bahamas, Rancid, Superchunk, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, Godspeed You Black Emperor!, Magnetic Fields
Feel free to jump on my shiz about music taste or failure to crosscheck tours, etc.
I'm also hoping they go back to 4 stages + more bands this year.

Calling it now, this year's stretch headliner: Potrtugal. the Man
absolutely NOOO way. They were 4th this year and have gotten no bigger. I think Fleet Foxes are the biggest stretch this year, and that's not really even a stretch at this point. Perhaps they'll just up the overall level of the headliners so that none are massive, but all are easily headliners at SK (AM/VW, QOTSA, Fleet Foxes, etc.)

They have defiantly gained popularity since May. Woodstock wasn't released until June, Feel it Still barley had any main-stream play going into SK last year. It was pretty much the song of the summer.

If by "no bigger" you mean they've had a crossover hit single that's currently sitting at #8 on the Billboard Hot 100, hit #4 last month, and is now nominated for a Grammy in the pop category
I don't think they'll headline. There are crossover hits from artists all the time, plus they just played, but where they are right now vs. where they were when 2017's lineup was announced is a very different place.

Ah, I forget how long it takes for songs to catch on and get big, I guess. I was just thinking it was already released about when SK happened. Well, if they do HL, it would annoy me because they're always at every quacking festival, but there are def worse bands to headline.

They were just here this year and Shaky doesn't do repeats year to year so they won't be here next year.
Still, they opened up for X Ambassadors last night, and that show was announced a month ago. They haven't moved very much.
A few years ago Tim Sweetwood said they’d be a band that would be at every Shaky and, in one way or another, PtM has. They’ve either done a festival set, a LN or have been in attendance every year since 2014.

They didn't play anything in 2016. I wouldn't mind another LN set from them in 2018 though.
