SunFest in West Palm Beach is May 3-6th. The festivals have never clashed before. I doubt they'd want to this time.
There's essentially zero crossover between these two, right?
SunFest is a total mixed bag, but yeah, there's minimal crossover in the same year. However, there are crossover $ to consider. Logistically, QOTSA is a good fit for SunFest bearing in mind their other Florida dates.

I hope the fest run like they did last year, Shaky Beats followed by Shaky Knees. I like and attend both fests, but it's easier to gut out the second Sunday when it's Knees instead of Beats.
Subheadliners I'd love to see MGMT. Others I'd like to see on the lineup... Angel Olsen, Neon Indian (not sure if he's working on an album but he's been adding tour dates lately).

I am hype for Central Park. My favorite location of the three.
Agreed. Way more spacious, trees helped dampen sound between stages, honestly just better vibe in general (could have been the lineup that year though, lmbo). Not as marta accessible (for me) but tbqh I can probably walk there.
I am curious if they're including the civic center lots again. I heard about the possible sale of the civic center at end of august and then that the Atlanta Housing Authority was gonna buy it by Nov 1st but have heard zero about that since september. As much as I love the central park location, it definitely needs the civic center lots for extra stages. I could see them fitting 3 stages in central park but then you'll run into the same issues as this year with early/midday sets being shorter + possible soundbleed (trees help but realistically you aren't going to stop bass that easily).

I guess now is the time we can start realistically making some predictions on the lineup. Well, we can at least for sure eliminate some people from predictions, anyway. Brb starting my spreadsheet again (or if I wanna be really fancy, use that songkick band tour apikey that i got and write some code..).

I’m so glad they got the GOAT location back. It was cool that the transition between sets was like 30 minutes this year, but we missed out on a lot of bands that could’ve been booked.
