I am the street team leader for Tampa/St Pete and when I asked to promote this as “Phase 2” or just Artist Additions I was told it’s only Artist Additions. Maybe it is phase 2? But it’s weird for them to tell us promote the first one as phase 1 and the second as Artist Additions. But yeah if anyone is pulling the trigger, use my link please and help me out. #shamelesspromoter

Yeah. Outrageous. Shorty, Liquid Stranger, Funky Meters, Snoop, Squnto, Opiou. The lineup got much better on the cheap there. Of course people who don’t know any better would probably Dog that.
Just pulled the trigger. Apparently we are doing at least one festival this year.
The venue is my absolute favorite other than the Polo Fields. While the lineup isn't my particular cup of tea this year, you're going to have a fantastic time. Have fun!
I've already said it, but will again. Okeechobee is a kick ass festival, has become my absolute favorite camping festival. Just go, you will not be disappointed.
Perfectly fine to disagree, but for what it's worth mine is at least an informed opinion. I was at Woodstock 99, have been to 14 freaking Bonnaroo's (the last 7 Roll Like a Rockstar), and most of the biggest and best festivals all over the country. Averaging 13 festivals a year the past 3. Going to Groove Cruise Miami and Dirtybird Campout East back to back next month before my 3rd Okeechobee. Do Jam (lockn), Folk (Floydfest, Richmond Folk), Dance (Movement, Ultra, Tomorrowworld, Electric Zoo, Moonrise), and the Diverse festivals (Roo, Coachella, Electric Zoo, Hangout, Vegoose, Firefly).
In 5 straight days last week I went to 5 different genres of concerts
Kamasi Washington (jazz) Moon Boots (deep house) Bon Iver (indie folk) Illenium (melodic dubstep) The National (indie rock)
I also saw in clubs (outside of festivals) Sigur Ros, Bonobo, Roger Waters, Phoenix, Queen, Tycho, Phantogram, Sia, Above and Beyond, Tauk, Gryffin, Rezz, Griz, Floozies, Bleachers, Foster the People, Animal Collective, Hot Chip, Lane 8, Perpetual Groove, Kyau and Albert, Nora en Pure, Mo, Love Canon, Naked and Famous, Seven Lions, The Orb, Yeasayer, St. Lucia, Greensky Bluegrass, Yonder Mountain String Band, and so many more just this past year.
Dancing, environment, vibes, performances, access...Okeechobee has the best of all of it!

Well I ended up being stupid wrong, with both Travis Scott and Bassnectar having a 3rd (and 4th?!) round. My bad.
It took a different direction than I thought it was going to go, but I like it. Lesser-known but talented undercard, with Nectar and some more popular pop/electronic/indie rock to keep the masses happy. I've been listening to some of the super-undercard, and EVERYONE sounds great for the most part. I'm excited.
My only complaint is that I wish they had a bit more rap. Chris Webby would fit the bill nicely.
With more fests coming out with meh lineups, it's really looking like Okee is pretty strong this year. Compared to the other lineups, of course. What do ya'll think?

I always thought it sounded like a really fun time.

Same here! It will probably never compete with the likes of Roo or Coach, but it will still be a great time with some seriously awesome artists. Depending on how Roo shapes up, this might be the fest to go too for me.
