I've worked Okee both years and they sent out an email the other day that leads me to believe they're really struggling to sell pre-sale tickets. That and their immediate press release explaining the price hike tells me they probably wont sell out this year and even with higher prices we may still not get superior bookings or necessarily anything better than last year.
All that said, I will still be there. Both years were transformative for me for different reasons and I know I'll like 2018 just for the magic of the festival setting itself.
Well that's sad. I'm sure once the lineup comes out we will see more hype...But those hike in fees and price does sting a bit...But it'll be worth it if the lineup reflects those price hikes.
I'm hoping they book some solid talent with the price hike as well. That will definitely dictate an uptick or a complete fold of the fest. They do have spring-break weekend of most Florida colleges in their favor just like Langerado used to do so that always helps.

Yea I agree 100%. If they can really fold themselves into the nitch market and be a fest that has something for everyone, that would be a huge plus. In all honesty, Florida has a very eclectic taste in music. (Don't let Ultra convince you otherwise) If they can grab some electronic, jam, metal, funk, Rock, Indie, Latin?, EDM, Classic Rock, and a nice mix of that would would bring in all the tickets.

Just remembering last year EVERY night I would be messed up walking back to my campsite and go in the wrong direction. The layout isn't really that difficult, but you have to really pay attention to which exit you take out of the festival grounds. That in and of itself isn't noteworthy, but it was hilarious when I was walking next to a random dude one of the times and he offered me a drink. Since it was in a gatorade bottle I was happy to be able to hydrate myself from the long walk thinking it was gatorade. Nope. STRAIGHT tequilla. Since I was already messed up, my reaction time was way off, so by the time I knew what I was drinking I had drank about half the bottle. Ugh rough.
I really hope this festival bounces back because year one was best fest I've ever been to.
I thought this year was awesome. Honestly, by far the best set up generally speaking of any festival I've been to. Why do you say bounce back? You mean the lineup?

Yea, for me the lineup left much to be desired. More unique acts, less trash. But the grounds, schedule, set up, stages, etc was impeccable. I had way to much fun.

Yea I can agree with that. Honestly, I didn't see any real weakness at this festival other than the lineup. It was easy to get close for any act you want (except the high profile EDM). I was on the rail for almost every act I wanted to see without having to wait more than 10 minutes or so before the act started. I want to go back really bad but it will be tough to do since I need severa days of travel time added in.

Yea I agree with you 100%. I was on the rail for BBNG, Vulfpeck, Sturgill Simpson, and a couple more. But yea, this fest is only 2 hours from me. There's no reason for me not to go haha.
I just got an email from Okeechobee regarding loyalty rewards. Unfortunately it's stuck in grey mail. So I googled it and came up with this. Sorry if it's old news, but it doesn't have a date. I'm hoping it's the same thing as the email was:

I'm not sure. I never got the first notification. Looks like about 300 after taxes and fees for GA plus the $40 car charge. Not a terrible price from the reviews I've read here and gotten at home.

Oh it's a great festival, don't get me wrong. I had a blast and I will definitely be going (unless they go full EDM next year). But from what I've seen on reddit and facebook, people are very upset about the price increases and car pass.

I could be wrong I feel like this was only $200 last year and that included your car pass. So it's like a $140 price increase? Almost double? Good lord.

It was in the mid to high $200s I believe, so not quite double. But yes, the price increase is substantial and really sucks.
The first 3 for sure but I cant see Okee booking Beck after the direction we saw them go in with last years lineup
Yea, I have a feeling they double down on EDM/rap, and start booking less unique stuff. If that's the case, sadly I will consider other fests next year.
Arcade Fire - Chance - Tiesto - My Morning Jacket - Skrillex (if/when he comes back next year) Kaskade - Run the Jewels - Umph - Big Grizmatik - Migos - Greensky Bluegrass

These mocks look way too top-heavy. When the headliners of the two previous years are Kendrick pre-top 40 success, Mumsons and Skrillex and then Kings of Leon, Usher with the Roots and Bassnectar, it may be best to temper expectations a bit.

Yea I don't hold much hope for the top line. The best thing I'd realistically hope for is the nuggets down in the lineup, and the overall diversity of genres mixed throughout.
