Ed Sheeran's Glastonbury set left me really impressed. Accepting the reality that Firefly will have a Top 40 headliner, this is probably as ideal as it gets:
Pearl Jam ~ Ed Sheeran ~ Arcade Fire ~ The Strokes/Phoenix
Pearl Jam/Kendrick/Calvin Harris/Lana Del Rey/Future The National/Kygo/alt-J/ODESZA/Interpol/Solange/HAIM
This would be a bounce back.
I feel guilty that for some reason this doesn't really excite me that much. It certainly looks better than this past years lineup, but it's a lot stuff that personally I'm just not really into.

I'm not sure anything could make up for Calvin Harris and Imagine Dragons being headliners. That would probably be a nail in the coffin for my attendance.
Then again, 21P and The Weeknd were headliners and I still went. So who's the dope after all?
Why are they constantly updating their instagram page but not even remotely addressing all those asking about the presale? It's strange. Although why at this point I expect anything by them to be well-composed is also strange.

I haven't been to Firefly since 2014 and by law of averages Firefly is due for a not awful lineup. If they do the Everfest promotion again, that'd make for a pretty nice deal.
It sounded like Beyonce was all but a done deal last year, so I don't see any way she doesn't do the same thing as Coachella, even though she wasn't officially announced. Hopefully they toss in a Pearl Jam, Arcade Fire, Bon Iver in there somewhere.

It sounds like they did the same VIP upgrade as the Meadows, so Everfest is about as good a $45 as you can spend if they do that again.

That's not quite what they did. They gave you a promo code to be able to buy a VIP pass on their site for the same price as the GA pass ($336). You were able to get the pass earlier than just right before walking up which was easier to maneuver for bringing friends, and selling before the festival, but it wasn't as good of a deal as Meadows where you can buy a cheaper single day off of the secondary market, then upgrade it for free, all for below face value.
