Thurs/Sunday definitely took a bit of a hit because I really wanted those Portugal The Man and MGMT late night sets.
The Killers carried a pretty weak (and muddy) Sunday in 2015 so they could do it again. Maybe move SZA to Sunday? It was hard to find her a prime spot without getting lost in Fireflys dumb strategy of really stacking pre-headlinrs.
And Thursday...is never really that good. People are just happy to be arriving at the Fest and Chomeo would put on a good high energy closing set.
Awesome now I can just use your formatting and switch some stuff around. Haha I’ll do mine soon.
Great - that's pretty much how I did it - just edited someones 2017 version.
Also someone on the FF reddit took the lineup and put it into the older graphic template. It's crazy how much more appealing it makes the festival look. I'm just going to acknowledge this as the official one moving forward:

Looks better for sure, although still doesn't hide the drop off after line 5 or 6. BTW since when is Cheat Codes so god damn popular? I remember doing the mock schedule for 2016 and they were basically a throw in pavilion EDM act.
I've been trying to make a clashfinder to determine if this is worth going to, but there is such an over whelming amount of hiphop and EDM this year, the majority of which has always been kept in the pavilion, so I'm just confused as to how this is all going to work.

Hiphop and EDM is what all the youngins love these days, so they'll just go on bigger stages.

The # of EDM acts almost fits exactly into the number of Pavillion slots from last year. Obviously Odesza and Martin Garrix will be on the backyard.
Hip Hop I think will just be distributed whereever between Lawn/Porch/Backyard. Lil Wayne is the only non headlining hip-hop act that I can see on the main stage.
11/19: Caribou 11/22: Ranger Trucco 11/29: Armand Van Helden* 1/16: L'Impératrice 1/30: Jamie xx 2/1: DJ Seinfeld 2/7: Mild Minds* 3/1: Father John Misty* 3/19: Confidence Man 3/23: DARKSIDE 5/8: Rüfüs Du Sol
I think its lower this year because they didnt list the campsite bands like they did last year with Dude Ranch and Girl at the Rock Show
So do you think that they'll announce campsite bands or are they doing away with campsite stages? I really enjoy the Wednesday pre-party and although I didn't go to many hub concerts I still enjoyed listening to them from my campsite and when I was walking around the hub and such.
I wrote an e-mail to Firefly a few days ago and asked if any additional acts will be added, given that there's about 50 less acts this year compared to last. I also asked if they will be using the hub stages this year. They responded that the "lineup is final" and that "the hub stages will be used."

Interesting.. so whoever is playing the Wednesday Pre-Party is already on the lineup. I predict Hotel Garuda.

I feel like this response is misleading.. There's no way the lineup consists of 95 names.. You asked whether Firefly will be adding names instead of whether they'll be announcing more names, but of course the lineup is final by now so they won't be adding anything.. There will undoubtedly be additions announced for the hub stages, Wednesday pre-party, treehouse & coffehouse stages.. the question is will there by anything more substantial than that.

I don't know. I just asked Firefly and reported back what they told me. Like everyone else, I hope there's additional acts announced for both the festival and hub stages, but Firefly's response didn't make it seem too promising.

That doesn't sound good for more artists added. Just kind of confusing though that all the artists on there will take up that many stages through 5 days (Wednesday night included). I guess we'll see, they usually come through with a good Wednesday night performer. Sam Feldt last year was a lot of fun.

They could easily do away with the Porch Stage and expand the Lawn Stage.

Yea I think they just learned their lesson that not only does nobody give a shit knowing what 50 cover bands would play the hub at 11AM, but it just makes the lineup look that much worse.

I think I'd rather see the Toyota stage or Coffee house go before the Porch stage but that's just me. I don't think I've seen a show at either stage either year I've went.

Coffeehouse is a favorite of mine. Nice to sit down and take a 30 minute break there. I don't even know where the Toyota Music Denis so yeah that can go lol.

Could get rid of Treehouse and Porch and bring back the Forest Stage. Coffeehouse stage is nice. Like the intimate acoustic shows.
Toyota Den or whatever was in the area where the Beercade used to be (original spot for the Coffeehouse). Usually a band would show up for a few songs. Tried to go the first year they did it, but they seemed to be very behind on the schedule so I left. Think they usually do some art and crafts thing in there as well.

They should expand the treehouse area somehow, I don't understand why they put it farther back and yet... it hold less people there now. I suppose it's more "intimate" but I kinda liked the forrest stage that was there. Meanwhile the area leading up to it is now just empty field.

I fought hard for the forest stage. I liked having that and then the treehouse stage just for SVIP and contest winners. The treehouse stage area used to only hold 250 people and it was awesome and some of the best sets I've ever seen were on the forest stage.

Mike fight like hell to bring back the Beercade! Loved that damn thing!
