This couldn't have worked out any better. I was considering going to Saturday of Mountain Jam, but Firefly's Sunday lineup is just too stacked and diverse. Definitely nabbing a Sunday day pass as soon as they're on sale. Super stoked for Kendrick, Alt-J, SZA, MGMT, Kamasi, Warren G and Amen Dunes.
03/14 - Thievery Corporation 04/25 - Black Country, New Road 05/04 - In Flames, Gatecreeper 05/10 - Modern Life is War 05/21 - Spite, Bodysnatcher, Thrown 05/29 - Knocked Loose, Loathe, Show me the Body, Speed 06/02 - Bush 06/22 - George Thorogood 06/23 - Dillinger Escape Plan, Deadguy, Candy, Carbomb
Put together a mock schedule based on last year. Mock Schedule
So much mumble rap on Friday, I couldn't figure out where to put it all.
There were 14 artists on Thursday last year (plus Coffeehouse acts), and they've only announced 12, so not sure what's going on there or if they will add more.
Friday, Saturday, and Sunday also have more daily artists than slots last year, so guessing some end up at Coffeehouse exclusives and/or camp exclusives.
Thank you for making this!! The dates are off though.

Whoops, noticed that and then forgot to fix it. Should be good to go now.

I also think you should switch MGMT and Alt-J, or maybe have Alt-J close for Sunday at least.. I really hope Alt-J plays after the sun sets.
I think the Lawn Stage (or Backyard) would struggle to fit Alt-J. Sza, Betty Who, and MGMT would split the crowd better, especially once people catches wind of MGMT's live show . EDM always closes the fest, so I think that's 99% Odesza.

Chance the Rapper closed out the Backyard Stage on Saturday last year, alt-J should fit back there (or on the Lawn) just fine. Alt-J's stage production demands to be seen at night, and I'm sure Firefly knows this.. there's no way they play 6:45-8:00. Guaranteed.

that set was also a clusterfuck tho
I didn't even head over there last year because of the entire festival moving over to the backyard after The Weeknd, went to the red bull tent and got a drink and waited for The White Panda, was a good choice.
one thing I hope they get better at is late night options other than EDM. Having 2/6 stages active after the headliner kinda sucks.
Yeah, it's seems weird that they never use the Lawn Stage late night, but I think I remember reading or hearing somewhere it was due to noise/lights. Even though, I can't imagine it would be much different than the Backyard.
mg Do you know why the Lawn Stage isn't used late night?

Agreed. They used to have 1am rock acts at the treehouse. I wonder if The Killers will be on The Backyard Stage this year in the Chance the Rapper spot to close out the night.

Its gotta be Garrix
Not necessarily. If you go by last year Garrix could be in the Galantis spot. I just changed the names on this:

Could do it like 2016 where Florence played Main Stage 10:15 - 11:45 and Deadmau5 played Main Stage 12:45 - 2 AM. There should never be a headliner on the Backyard. That was the whole reason they expanded after 2013, they can't fit that many people back there.

im curious if its like 2017 where the killers get the bob dylan slot, or if it's like 2016 and it'll be a normal HL time on main and then a LN set. I guess they'd give Em the normal time slot?

I think 2016 is a good template.
Killers get the Florence Spot and Em gets the DeadMau5 spot. Or if Em doesn't want to go on that late they switch, I don't think The Killers care as much when they play and will cut Firefly some slack since they basically get a residency here.
The problem then is that Garrix would have to get the backyard Stage in between, which leaves no room for a cool PTM or Royal Blood late night spot.
For a festival with so many stages it's funny that they get so scarce post 10-11pm.

I don't think they'd want their #1 going till 2.
and yea, everything about ff is pretty good except the schedule. unopposed headliners and a sparse late night could easily be fixed though.
