Trying to do a mock for Saturday for this fest and its pretty hard to figure out how they are gonna handle Main Stage Saturday
It's got to depend on how difficult and demanding Killers/Em are. Do The Killers need to start in total darkness? Does Em need to close his stage? If everyones easy going about it, this would be ideal (it won't happen though).....

Just to throw this out there, but I'd like to suggest Odesza may not close out Sunday, but be backyard pre Kendrick kind of like Kygo a few years back. The only reason being I feel like Odesza is a big get and although a lot of people stay for the Sunday EDM closer, a lot of people also have to leave. I could see either Alt-J or MGMT closing out after Kendrick.

Despite how much I'd love to have some late night variety, I don't see it happening the latter way.

I agree with this, and I would bet that Alt-J will close out the festival.. The festival has traditionally closed with EDM, but it's all been banger party-type EDM.. Big Gigantic, White Panda, Major Lazer, Dillon Francis.. Odesza is a lot more in the vein of Kygo than any of the aforementioned. Also this would leave less conflicts for my tastes.

Eminem's Coachella set seems to be getting better reviews than other recent shows he's done. Looks like a new stages set up too.
I don't think Eminem needs to be an otherworldly set on a day that already has guaranteed great live sets from PTM, Killers, RB...but it's encouraging that it might be improved.

seeing the main stage setup for Em and Odesza knowing it's gonna be not as good at firefly...
hopefully FF gets bigger sized screens this year, and didn't backyard only have 1 screen last year?

The Backyard and Lawn have only had one screen for a couple years now. They should really have two. Maybe upgrade the pavilion to getting something

Saturday will be a madhouse. Full capacity I bet. Eminem and The Killers are both huge, huge draws for this audience. Add Wayne, Garrix, PTM, Royal Blood, and Vance Joy to that and people will be flocking in droves.
Sunday, barring a Pearl Jam/Beyonce level headliner, will always be the least attended day of the weekend. People will always go home early because 1. It's Fathers Day 2. People have work on Monday 3. The heat has beaten people down.

This is my first ever true Thursday (caught the last half of Two Door). Chicano, Everything Everything, Chromeo and Knox Fortune is enough to be a fun night of walking around and hanging.

Thursday is usually my favorite day. Very relaxed, no rush to go in . Energy at full lol. That said, I can’t say this is anything but the weakest Thursday lineup yet.

Oh for sure. The fact that they have single day passes but aren't offering Thursday versions are a sign that they are really punting this one.

It doesn’t make sense to sell Thursday single days. Thursday is for the campers to have access before all of the crowds come in over the weekend. It’s a day for people to get settled into their campsites and not have to miss much if they are running late. Besides, single day ticket sales are very strong this year and there’s just no need for Thursday.

Yea I can’t imagine they sold well in the past. People close enough to get to the festival are probably already going that would go,and likely aren’t buying a day pass for Glass Animals or Local Natives etc. Ironically his would have the year I might have bought one haha.
