Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
Including Friday, bonnaroo is the 2nd weekend of the month. Firefly is the 3rd weekend.
Firefly should move back a week then to the 20th-23rd. There's definitely some crossover there and they'd want to avoid. Also gets it further away from Gov Ball and Mountain Jam which is becoming more a competitor musically.

Yup those should be the Firefly dates. Gov Ball should still be the first (full) weekend in June so 7-9. My fear with this is that we know bands love to tour Europe in late June/July. So we may be missing out even more on bookings next year imo.
Looks like I'm going to Saturday of this. I just couldn't miss what might be my only chance left to see Eminem. No clue which of you guys is going since I don't really pop in here often, but if anyone wants to meet up let me know.

I worry that if they move the fest back, they’ll lose even more bands to European tours and fests. They are already competing with Northside and the Primavera Sound festivals, but you move it back a weekend or two, then you’re up against Glastonbury and Isle of Wight.
11/19: Caribou 11/22: Ranger Trucco 11/29: Armand Van Helden* 1/16: L'Impératrice 1/30: Jamie xx 2/1: DJ Seinfeld 2/7: Mild Minds* 3/1: Father John Misty* 3/19: Confidence Man 3/23: DARKSIDE 5/8: Rüfüs Du Sol

If they move it to the 28-30, the same weekend as Glastonbury next year, Firefly is toast. That is basically sending them to the graveyard.

You really think a festival in Europe is that much direct competition? I'm just going based on demographic stats, but people don't lightly just decide between going overseas for a festival or not. The larger percentage of people going to European festivals are from Europe, just like in the U.S.

I think hes talking about not getting the talent to come to Firefly not the festival goers

Yeah, I’m talking about not getting the talent.
Ahhh, gotcha. Yeah, it’s hard to say. I mean if the talent pool really is monopolized by Glastonbury then it would kind of affect a lot of June festivals here. If bands are playing at Glastonbury it’s usually because they have a string of dates over there. Most (not all) bands don’t often go overseas for just one date. I guess we’ll see
I could see Bonnaroo and Firefly switching weekends.
It could be good or bad thing then Boston Calling, Governor's Ball, Firefly, and Bonnaroo basically lineup - everyone goes a little more South each weekend.

Really feeling some FOMO right now that I am missing out this year. Wondering if Firefly has any plan for SZA tho. Really seems like shes not gonna play
