Bruce Springsteen - Kendrick Lamar - Lorde / Beck Co headline
2018 is going to be a super busy tour season with tons of Alt groups with new music, and bands that missed Firefly (a ton) last year that are gonna hit it this year. Theres no way that Lorde or Beck will headline.
Pearl Jam - Kendrick Lamar - The Strokes - Srillex Odesza - The Lumineers - Alt-J - Run The Jewels Cage The Elephant - Zhu - Nick Murphy - Chromeo Griz - The War On Drugs - Mac Demarco - Hot Chip

With Gorillaz tour already stretching into March of next year (in South America), they would be an easy booking for Firefly if they are available. Granted by then I think most people will have already seen them at one place or another. There always seems to be at least one headliner that Firefly books that just did a tour the previous summer and hit all the other stops, like Florence and the Machine in 2016.
Pearl Jam - Green Day - Gorillaz - Imagine Dragons Skrillex - Alt J - Incubus - Schoolboy Q - DJ Snake
11/19: Caribou 11/22: Ranger Trucco 11/29: Armand Van Helden* 1/16: L'Impératrice 1/30: Jamie xx 2/1: DJ Seinfeld 2/7: Mild Minds* 3/1: Father John Misty* 3/19: Confidence Man 3/23: DARKSIDE 5/8: Rüfüs Du Sol

Foo Fighters probably pretty unlikely for this. Playing UK Show on the 19th of June. No impossible for them to play the 16th or 17th but I wouldn't count on it.
Anybody here ever do Glamping? Considering it this year if the lineup is on the better end of these mocks
I did premium glamping in '16. It was worth it for us. But... if you're looking for a party, don't. People are friendly and looking to be social during the day, but late night - people are hanging but within their own groups, and very quietly. The regular glamping is more of a walk (premium is right by the south entrance). Last year, the perks everywhere were way down. In '16 we got bathrobes, blankets, water bottles, socks, sunglasses... this year - nothing. If we go again, we'll go back to wed rv. same location, cheaper. Bring a bike to hit up the North camping area. Never rely on shuttles.

Yea again this is my issue and why I will likely continue to just rough it in the north camping. If they allowed RV's or other options up in the north camping area I would strongly consider it. Without that option, it's just too much of a pain in the ass to be separated from everyone in the north area. Not to mention missing the Wed pre-party.

I disagree with this.
Lorde is playing a big arena spring tour, subbed a bunch of '17 fests, album very well received, probably an easy booking for GV and young pop fans (read: a lot of people who attend this fest) would be excited. I think she could def headline this or HAngout

Her arena tour has RTJ and Mitiski as openers and it’s still not selling well. Still hasn’t sold out The Anthem and it’s only 6,000 people
yea the def intrigued me and RTJ will entertain just about anyone who is in the crowd but for shows this big and at the cost I am assuming it prob isnt the best idea.

I don't see them getting a hip hop headliner with all the heavyweight alt rock bands touring this. I would expect something closer to the 2016 Model.
Pearl Jam - Arctic Monkeys - Imagine Dragons - Skrillex (not my thing, but very confused how he's never played) Lorde - Queens of the Stone Age - Cage The Elephant - Run The Jewels
he/they '12 - Firefly '13 - Firefly, Made In America '14 - Firefly, Made In America '15 - Mountain Jam (Sunday), Firefly, Pitchfork, Made In America '16 - Boston Calling, Firefly, Osheaga, Made In America, Roots Picnic NYC '17 - Boston Calling, Gov Ball, Firefly (Sunday), Pitchfork, Day For Night '18 - Boston Calling, Mountain Jam, Osheaga '19 - Form, Firefly (Sunday) '22 - Boston Calling, Firefly '24 - Solid Sound, Soundside
Pearl Jam - Kendrick Lamar - Imagine Dragons - Lorde - Odesza
or
Bruce Springsteen - Green Day - Calvin Harris - Arctic Monkeys - Post Malone
Bruce just extended his solo broadway run to February and apparently he loves doing it. Completely speculating, but I don't think he'll be ready and eager to rev the full band show back up so soon. He may take Springsteen on Broadway on a mini tour of US or work on a Born to Run play. Just a complete guess though.

feels more realistic but i still dont see PJ doing this unless a US tour is expected? Seems like they are more likely for Lolla

Arctic Monkeys doesn't feel like a fit. They'd be a headliner and I think with Imagine Dragons likely high on the bill I doubt they'd have two returning acts from the same year (2014) appear again on the top line together.
its been done by Goldenvoice before. When they took over Hangout they booked Foo and ZBB who were both returns and both HL'd
Oh I'm sure it's been done, but I don't think it'd be a good look for Firefly right now given their wavering attendance. IMO They need something a bit more unique and fresh than two recycled headliners a year after already recycling a controversial headliner (21P).
i dont know if the need something unique, they have an easy crowd to please but AM and IG obviously dont have the drawing power of Foo or even ZBB who were already well established HL's so it def would be weak to go that route plus unlike a Foo/ZBB re-booking FF hasnt grown that much in the last 3 years compared to how Hangout evolved from years 1-3 to 2015 when they both came back to essentially a different fest.

If AM puts out a good album I think that there will be a lot of young alt fans who havent seen them that would want to come see them. 4 years without touring is a lifetime now-a-days with how often artists tour.
