Reports state Marvin Lewis is leaving the Bengals at the end of this season to "explore other options". I really can't believe he got to stay there as long as he did and then still gets to resign before he gets fired.
My guess is they gave him the option to quit or get fired
I heard some reporting this morning that they were surprised by the development so maybe not. Or it was typical PR sports reporting.

My reaction when I woke up to the Marv news
Glad it's finally over. Don't get me wrong, I won't forget how we went from what the Browns are now to being in the post 3 out of 4 years...but this was long over-due. Team has completely folded since that Monday night lost to Pittsburgh. Also, I feel a lot more confident now we will have either Lamar Jackson or Mayfield going into training camp next year. Marvin was the reason Andy Dalton was drafted by us, Mike Brown didn't want him.

I'm all for embracing the bad boys - unlikable team of the league. Push all the chips in.
Edit: But the first thing to do is to hire somebody from the outside that knows a winning culture (like a Patricia). I'll vomit if we promote a coordinator.

Given the history of Pats assistants promoted to HC, I'm not sure why that's such a popular choice amongst fans.

Hasn't both Patricia and McDaniels been the top assistants for the last 5 years? Not really fair to pile up on O'Brien with Watson being hurt.

The primary owner needs to own more than 50% so a lot of the names being floated around just don't have the cash. I'd assume you need someone with at least $750M - $1B in cash.
They also can't own another major sports team in another NFL market.
All i've heard about Jerry from former players are good things, as far as creating a healthy atmosphere in the organization. The only negativity is between him and coaches (Jimmie Johnson, Bill Parcells.) As for the stripper thing? So what. That's between him and his wife.
Yeah all this shit's gross but that's not our business if it's consensual and if anything these seem like they were taken for extortion purposes. No one knows the story behind these photos except for the people there.
Also just found this, which is definitely concerning. But everyone knows what Jerry tells the media isn't always the same thing he'll say behind closed doors. He's only making us think he's on Jerry Richardson's side because of his brand. Behind closed doors, i guarantee this bothers him.
