I want to say a second-rounder but the Pats traded Jimmy G for a (high, admittedly) second. So, like, maybe a lower second or a third, maybe also a late pick like a sixth or seventh gets thrown in.

For the guy that beat Brady in a shootout in the Super Bowl I would happily give up a second if I had confidence in my offensive system.
On a related note, what do you think that Philly will get in trade for Foles?
I don't know. They were talking about his return to the NFL yesterday where he apparently decided he would only play for Andy Reid (something decided on a camping trip). Correct me if I'm wrong, but he's only got one more year on his contract. So if someone is going to pay handsomely for his services, you'd think it would have to come with the assurance of a longer term deal. True, he's an improbable super bowl winning quarterback now. But with only one year remaining, I really don't know what he'd bring in a trade. Guess would be 4th or maybe a 3rd. And there are always teams willing to overpay in the offseason, so maybe the Eagles can get more unless they plan on keeping him for his final year (seeing as he kind of came in handing in 17-18) and just letting him walk after next season.
While Philly is currently in cap trouble (Overthecap has them over by $9.2M), QB isn't the problem. Wentz has a $7.2M cap hit and Foles is at $7.6M. It would help them financially to move him but he isn't the problem and a quality vet to replace him will not be (much) cheaper.

Rumor has it the Pats turned down a top five pick from the Browns, cause they didn't want to send Jimmy G to a shit organization like Cleveland. They took less from SF to give him a better chance.

lol their ownership basically destroyed a SB contending team essentially over night, mismanaged the fuck out of their qb, who got his time to shine because they traded their long time starting qb, who they drafted #1 overall because they were terrible prior to that. i mean its not the browns, but at least their excuse is "we're the browns".
I think Foles and Keenum are the two riskiest clicks in the league right now imo. Foles has definitely been successful before, but keep in mind whatever team he goes to probably won't have a line or weapons like he has now. I think he goes to whatever team doesn't make the initial splash for Cousins (Den, Buf, Az, Min, Cle, NYJ, Jax?).
My Way-Too-Early Super Bowl 53 prediction: Oakland Raiders vs New Orleans Saints
Belichick stated repeatedly it was a gameplan decision and not disciplinary. Knowing him, I wouldn't expect much more information. Butler stated he didn't really know and that he felt the Patriots gave up on him.

he'll always have that sweet truck Brady gave him though!

Butler was the smaller of the corners NE played and The Eagles have big wideouts. Still, you’d think a guy who played nearly 98% of their snaps during the season could get in on a nickel package.
Peyton did the same to Brees, and a lot of locals were pissed at the time for :no respek: But Peyton said it was Brees' time to shine, and bask in the glow of winning a Lombardi. I'd go find the opposing QB, but I don't blame anyone anymore after going through it once.

From quick google searches -
Brady pow wow'd with - McNabb (W), Ryan (W), Wilson (W) Brady did not pow wow with - Manning (L x 2), Warner (W), Delhomme (W), Foles (L)
(could just be a case of there not being a good shot, but the 3 pow wows came up with fairly easy searches)

Guy tries to backtrack pretty hard after the tweet, but there's no other real news, so let's just run with it.
This has been the most mentioned theory being thrown around here
As for my annoying co-worker, he basically had a meltdown early in the morning. I told him to fuck off and he left me alone the rest of the day. Unfortunately for several others in the department: he spent a while going on and on about how Portugal is going to win the World Cup. Then came the news Butler got caught with "wacky tobbacky" (his actual words) and he basically blamed the defense for blowing it for Brady. Then came the realization he has no football for the next six months, and him talking shit on people who have families or people who don't like football for having other priorities.
