I really like how the day by day ended up. Any chance for additions? Is this it? It seems a little light, but then again maybe not? I think this may be the play for me this year.
If there aren't additions, its the shortest Forecastle line-up by a substantial amount. I honestly expect 15-20 more names. Even if they're low level, the names they have cannot fill up the 4 stages they've used in years past.
Nice. I was looking at Fleet Foxes schedule among other that play Thursday of Mad Cool and are playing Panorama in the U.S. a few weeks later. Not out of the question for them to play Saturday or certainly Sunday. Wishful thinking anyway haha.
regardless I booked my Airbnb, plane ticket and festival ticket so I'm in.

If FF weren't already playing Louisville in May they would fit wonderfully in this year's lineup. I wish they were playing on Sunday instead - to save me precious $.

Sunday:
NF has been replaced with Trampled by Turtles.
I'm beginning to think no major additions are coming, which would be pretty disappointing because I don't like paying the same price for a much smaller line-up than last year.
Had a dream I logged onto the website and Lady Gaga + Beck were added without any announcement. Oh and Andrew WK for some reason. It was pretty lit.
I'm impressed by:
(a) how much better that would make the lineup; and (b) your level of recall of the dream. I can never remember my dreams with any level of specificity
Forecastle may want to rethink their definition of exciting news. DJs announced for party cove ... but then again I knew it was too early for the schedule.

Must say that Forecastle's PR team has really dropped the ball here. This is the least amount of hype or excitement they have ever generated and go months at a time without any sort of announcements. They are still missing like 12-15 bands but have made no comments about removing a stage this year. I honestly almost forget the festival is even happening then they come out and announce some local Djs as "exciting news". I live in Louisville have bought early passes every year until this year as my wife and I are expecting our first kid but was still planning to try and go but the overall handling of things is really making me second guess that decision.

I'm in the same boat. I'm short on cash because I'm saving for a vacation in the fall (and had to buy Radiohead tickets).
I want to go, but the lineup is full of people I enjoy but have already seen. If they don't add some decent names, I'm going to skip it all together or just hit one day of the festival.
To be continued, but they aren't inspiring a lot of confidence in me.

For me it just worked out to be several acts I was never able to see yet (Arcade Fire, Father John Misty, etc) in a new city I hadn’t been before for a relatively cheap cost. It does feel like there is 6-12 acts missing. But whatever, these days expectations are so low for festival lineups I look past that.

Part of me is expecting the "Forecastle Fest 2018 has been cancelled due to low ticket sales" announcement at any time. I mean where are the late nights? The schedule? Anything... Not sure what is going on here anymore.

Some commented on the Facebook post that it’s local Louisville acts curated for that stage. I’m not expecting any significant adds at this point.

Yeah, I listened to the radio thing, Teddy Abrams is curating the stage all three days. He said it is all about local artists. A band he is part of called The Thrills is playing on Friday.
Only a few issues with the schedule, though that Twitter post about jaws dropping yesterday did seem to suggest an addition was coming. Instead I think it was just in reference to the schedule coming out and the picture was of people with their jaws dropped ... oh well. The only thing is the subheadliners not finishing until after the headliners start. Maybe that's how Forecastle has always done it this will be my first year but still excited!
Friday: Devon Gillifian < I'm with Her < AJR < Rainbow Kitten Surprise < FJM < some of Vance Joy and leave early for < Modest Mouse Saturday: ??? < Pvris < Jimmy Eat World <Jenny Lewis < Houndmouth < The War on Drugs in full < Chris Stapleton (miss the beginning) Sunday: Matt Maeson < Colony House < White Reaper < Oh Wonder < second half of Trampled by Turtles < Punch Brothers < Teddy Abrams Showcase <Courtney Barnett < Arcade Fire
Margo Price and Kurt Vile are the biggest two I won't get to see that I wanted to but that's not terrible. Tough decision is deciding whether to leave Courtney early for Arcade Fire.

Arcade Fire gets the longest set of the weekend while Courtney Barnett has one of the shorter ones. I for one will be staying whole time even though I am a really big Arcade Fire fan.
