Starting this thread off as they announced the initial lineup on 11/14 last year so should be coming soon. This is always on my radar but have never been. Would like to do this as a family fest this year.
Anyone else notice they started off promoting 50 bands and now they’re promoting 35+
Yeah i dunno what they were doing with 50+. I think there may be 50 sets but last year there were 37 acts, not including ratboy Jr and the rock academy
I wouldn’t expect more than 5 acts to be added and I’d expect them all to be pretty small
According to Mountain Jam's website there's been 45-47 artists the last couple years, so I wouldn't be surprised if they announce 8-10 more acts, hopefully at least one or two of which are mainstage acts. I'm hoping they release the single day lineups and tickets soon. Hopefully it shakes out like
Friday: Sturgill Simpson - The War on Drugs - Father John Misty - Kurt Vile & the Violators - George Clinton & Parliament Funkadelic - Anderson East - Son Little - Woods - Jade Bird
Saturday: Alt-J - Portugal. the Man - Jenny Lewis - Rag'n'Bone Man - Everything Everything - The Record Company - Mondo Cozmo - Andy Frasco & the UN - Liz Vice
Sunday: Jack Johnson - The Decemberists - Turkuaz - Chicano Batman - The Felice Brothers - Lewis Capaldi - The Stone Foxes
03/14 - Thievery Corporation 04/25 - Black Country, New Road 05/04 - In Flames, Gatecreeper 05/10 - Modern Life is War 05/21 - Spite, Bodysnatcher, Thrown 05/29 - Knocked Loose, Loathe, Show me the Body, Speed 06/02 - Bush 06/22 - George Thorogood 06/23 - Dillinger Escape Plan, Deadguy, Candy, Carbomb

PtM NEEDS to be late night. And I’d love TWOD too but i doubt that.

I’d almost guarantee Frasco plays a late night set
My guesses for late night are Portugal. the Man, Everything Everything, and The War on Drugs or Father John Misty. It'd be nice if Saturday night's schedule was Alt-J (MS 10:00-11:30) > Everything Everything (VS 11:30-12:30) > Portugal. the Man (MS 12:30-2:00).

The more I watch Sturgill Simpson the more I like him
I've seen Sturgill twice, he has the country voice, but he and his band may be the one of the best Rock and Jam bands on this lineup. He will be the biggest surprise and maybe the best of the weekend, and I don't listen to much country at all and really don't have very many country acts I would recommend. He's more deserving to headline (Mountain Jam) than either Jack or Alt-J. Last year was our 1st, and we love this venue and area so much we made this year a 8 night vacation. Great fishing and so much more to do. We are really looking forward to this festival this year. A lot of good rentals in the Mountains, we found a great place last year and decided to return again this year.

Does this mean the full daily lineups will drop sometime this week?

Hopefully we actually get a Thursday campers pre-party.
We had a blast at last years pre party. I hope they don’t eliminate it.
Same, especially since they told me it was happening...The Felice Brothers date makes me think it's happening, but I'm assuming they're cutting back on the taphouse's activity during the weekend.

I got rid of the breaks between sets because there's...no reason for those. <Shrug> I guess they could shorten sets if they wanted to to accommodate what seems to be more bands than last year.
