Couple of nice adds in Alice Merton and Steve Gunn
Steve Gunn is an exceptional add, but where are you seeing Alice Merton? Honestly, this daily lineup couldn't have turned out worse for me since I probably can't make all 3 days and now I have to choose between skipping Friday or Sunday, and I'm leaning towards skipping Friday since Kurt Vile & the Violators and Father John Misty were 2 of the biggest artists on the lineup for me. It's nice the lineup is pretty ideally split between 3 days, hopefully I can make it the whole weekend.

So single day tickets are $112 after fees.. The difference between a single day ticket and 3 day pass is only $100, which is utterly preposterous and unprecedented as far as I know. I was considering doing a day or two of this, provided that single day tix were in the reasonable price range of $75-$85 after fees. Now I guess I just won't make it if I can't take off work for the whole weekend.

that seems to be similar to other fests I've seen...Lockn' is like $125 daily but you can buy a weekend pass for basically the price of 2 daily passes. Same here rea`lly.
I can understand inflating the price somewhat per day for single day tickets, but inflating it from $70 ($210 for 3 day) to $112 is a 60% increase, I don't know any other fest that does that.

ACL is also a completely different festival.. Also, I don't think that should justify Mountain Jam's pricing, regardless. The production company is basically forcing you to go either 1 day or 3 days, who on Earth would buy two single day tickets that add up to $12 more than a weekend pass? Seems like a make or break deal for a lot of patrons that will probably cost the festival money.

I'm sure there's plenty of people who want to go the entire weekend but whose availability precludes them from going either Friday or Sunday (because of Father's Day), such is my case. Panorama offers 2 day passes that are only inflated 10% more than the 3 days.

Maybe it's worth it to reach out to them? Prob wouldn't help this year but maybe next year they would let you do a Sat/Sun pass or a choose your own 2 day pass.

Fests are always going to encourage people to go all three days. It’s more revenue in food/drink/merch and being a camping fest, people doing two days are a very small percentage of the people going.

Damn. Friday and Saturday both have two big acts I'd like to see. Was hoping Felice and Sturgill would at least land on the same day. Both them and Portugal would be awesome. I may still end up trying for Saturday to see War on Drugs and Alt J (plus felice brothers and more) but would have loved Sturgill/Felice on the same day.

They really did spread out all the best acts across 3 days.. which is a bummer if you can't attend the entire weekend, but otherwise pretty great scheduling. Saturday is the strongest day, imo.. Imagine how much better this lineup would look if they booked Arcade Fire, who is probably similar expense-wise, instead of Jack Johnson. I realize they're unavailable the weekend of 06/15, but JJ is a complete waste of a big headliner, imo.

With this lineup it would have made sense to go Arctic Monkeys and Arcade Fire and just kill it with the Arc-fans

Yeah, I mean isnt every fest like that? Find me any semi-large fest that has 75 dollar day passes after fees.
Beale Street Music Festival is the only festival that would be under that. But BSMF is 95.00 for presale and I think it's only 125.00 now before extra charges, which are only 10.00. I love Mountain Jams venue and over all vibe, but for the cost of a 3 day Festival you can't beat Beale St. Music festival. I'll be going to both this year.
Arctic Monkeys, Arcade Fire and Alt-J would have made an incredible set of headliners. Triple-A certified.
Don't sleep on Sturgill, he and his band will bring it. I think Friday looks like the weakest for my tastes, but Sturgill maybe the best headliner of the 3. Saturday is loaded top to bottom, but in my opinion Alt-J doesn't deserve a headline slot. I look forward to checking them out and I hope they prove me wrong. I've seen Jack Johnson and I like his stuff, but he can put you to sleep and that's not the best way to end a Festival. Can we all agree, we will make this a Hell of a good time.

"I've seen Jack Johnson and I like his stuff, but he can put you to sleep and that's not the best way to end a Festival." -- I SO agree. I saw him at Bonnaroo when he last minute filled in for Mumford & Sons and I was towards the back of the field (granted its SO much bigger than Mt. Jam) - but it was so subduded and as the last act I actually did drift to sleep for a song or two.
I'm really looking forward to seeing the demegraphic of the crowd this year and I'd be interested to see Jack in a more 'intimate' setting to see if there is any difference.

The message boards have gone quiet, so I’ll throw this out there. After buying our tickets presale and not knowing the line up, it was hard not to be disappointed after learning the initial line up. After a couple months of listening to Mountain Jam acts I have really become excited to see Sturgill Simpson. As a matter of fact we will see him twice this year. We will see Sturgill again in September for the Outlaw music festival with Willie Nelson, Lukas Nelson, and Nathaniel Ratliff. My question is has anyone else discovered an act that they didn’t know before that they are excited to see at Mountain Jam this year?

This lineup is right up my alley so i know most of the acts. Digging on Jack Broadbent and Jade Bird tho. Mapache is also cool tho i wish with them in tow they would have added their dead cover band that they play in; the YT vids looked great.
I'm pretty excited. Although many of the acts are not bands I would have pictured at MJ, most are bands that I am a fan of. Pretty excited for Felice Bros. Have always loved The Decembrists. Psyched to see Sturgill, Larkin Poe, The Record Co.
Andy Frasco, though I am not a huge fan, was really fun to watch last year...Gets the crowd going.

Andy Frasco is not someone who I can listen to on a regular day just on spotify - however his live shows last year were tons of fun. His late (later night) show last year was one of the acts I had the most fun at cause he really gets the crowd going. I also think its really cool how everyone he plays with can play multiple instruments and he directs them on stage to change this up and switch instruments and improve - really cool to watch.
I must admit that this music is more my speed although i do miss some of the heavy hitting classic rock acts that are normally there - i think it will pull a different crowd that I'm interested to see. It did get a friend of mine who has been on the fence for a few years finally to buy a ticket this year.

I think I'm gonna make it up to this for the day on Saturday. Really want to see TWOD again this summer, but refuse to step foot in that cesspit of a venue in Camden, NJ. Can't believe that's their only philly show this year.

I’ve vowed to get in at least one camping fest in this year and being 2 hours away I have no excuse for not going yet. Hopefully can find a ticket for around $200 closer to the fest.
