Wow. They won’t let us in until 2pm on Thursday. That only leaves a small window of time before the camper party starts to get our campsite up, and that will take us a few hours. Wonder what brought on that change
Planning my first Mountain Jam, but can only go Saturday. Seems like there is off-site day parking with a free shuttle. Anyone have experience with this? Also, I want to stay for George Clinton late night - wonder how late the shuttles run? Thanks for any input.

That's what we are camping. When you arrived last year that early - how far up the mountain were you parked and was it a total pain with the incline - or about the same you'd think as down lower.
Last year we were a few cars up from the big line of porto johns leading over towards the fest entrance. I'm ideally shooting for that area or a bit lower for a little bit more of a level camp area. But I didn't venture future up at all so I'm not sure how it is up there. I'm real torn on what time to arrive to make that happen. But if it isn't bad further up then I might just stop stressing about it.

That's what we are camping. When you arrived last year that early - how far up the mountain were you parked and was it a total pain with the incline - or about the same you'd think as down lower.
Last year we were a few cars up from the big line of porto johns leading over towards the fest entrance. I'm ideally shooting for that area or a bit lower for a little bit more of a level camp area. But I didn't venture future up at all so I'm not sure how it is up there. I'm real torn on what time to arrive to make that happen. I’m so stubborn and my girlfriend is so much more stubborn that we are having a tough time holding back a few hours.

ha - i brought up weather to my group the other days and got yelled at for jinxing it. fingers crossed it says as is. looking good.
We had a blast in the rain last year and we are prepared for it again this year. The weather looks beautiful though. If it gets bad we know who to blame!

we had fun in the rain too. but last year group is camping fest vets. this year we have 3 first timers and we don't want to their first impression to be muddy and rain.
we are also prepared. re-waterproofed all the tents over the weekend. i never count out anything on the mountain.
