IMO, VIP is not worth it. I would recommend mountaintop camping and GA. Should save you $600 a ticket which can buy you all the hors d’oeuvres your heart could desire. We have gotten as close for any set as we ever wanted.
I live 15 miles away from Dover Downs, but the 11 names leaked on this lineup are more appealing than the entirety of Firefly's lineup imo. If Firefly could have landed Father John Misty, The War on Drugs and Kurt Vile I might have bought a weekend pass by now. Since I have an extreme aversion to city festivals, it looks like this might be my new go-to summer fest.
You’ll enjoy it. Great vibes (lol) and an excellent setting.

My buddy did riverside GA camping last time, and it says it has a free shuttle to and from the fest, so I'll probably end up doing that. Due to mobility issues (tons of hardware in my ankle), I'm weary of camping on the mountain top as that climb could be challenging. On a side note, is the "Hunter" camping area on pretty level ground?
edit/ I swear I read that the riverside camping area had a shuttle and now I can't find it, anyone know?

Did hunter camping - it’s more level than a mountain but i still rolled every night

I'll just try to get there as early as I can to claim the flattest spot I guess

Nice.
Agreed with Moten about how weird Turkuaz looks.
Of the other names, enjoy Anderson East, Andy Frasco, Chicano Batman, Jade Bird, Larkin Poe, Mondo Cozmo, Son Little, The Felice Bros, Record Company, Stone Foxes, Turkuaz, and of course effing Woods. Awesome
This lineup just needs one more solid headliner to anchor itself. If they're gonna make this kind of genre shift, they need a stronger name up top than Jack Johnson. And I think festivals have convinced themselves that Sturgill Simpson is way more popular than he is

I think we’re missing about 10 names - they usually delineate headliners so we’ll see today (aside from jack Johnson who i guess is a headliner) if the headliners are all on this list or if that announcement is yet to come.

He might actually be... I don't understand the appeal, but everyone else I know that sees his name gets excited. I haven't heard anything from him that didn't make me think he's just another country singer
With how light this lineup is at the top I would have to assume this is a phase one only? Seems to be missing a headliner unless Alt J is the third headliner. Also surprised at the no Franti.
Nah the leak is accurate. Just the fact that this has fully turned into yet another festival relying on alt rock, is going to disappoint a lot of people. Its a good lineup, I like that kind of music. But the focus of the festival has shifted in a major way. Thats going to disappoint a lot of the people who have been going to this for many years.

I support it. With the way Firefly and Roo have gone, there's an opening for a solid alt rock camping fest on the east coast.

To be fair, it's been gradual since 2013 when we started going. I don't think the undercard is much different from 2016-2017. But it has been a giant shift from the beginnings as a "jam festival"
"WFT Happened" "Thanks for the memories" "So are headliners going to be announced soon" "You're dead to me MTNJAM" "Worst Lineup""Thanks for making me buy Peach tickets" "Seriously?" "Booooooooooooo" "RIP Mountain Jam""See you at the Peach" "They aren't even jam bands WTF" "Does anyone know if we can get our money back?"
