What a turd of a lineup. So glad I don't have to have fomo of not going to this these days.
My main concern was that they would have The Prodigy and I would have to drive over there and try to get in or lurk outside the fence or something. Prodigy is playing Sonic Temple around the same time and I would assume they are doing a USA tour around then. *fingers crossed for NOLA*
Going to Sonic Temple. Mostly for The Hives & Foos & some other killer acts. Hate the venue, but gotta see The Hives.
The first time I heard of them they were an early afternoon slot the first day of AllGood 2012 at Buckeye Lake and people were not impressed at all.
I saw them at Bonaroo back in 14 or 15 at Which Stage. Really liked that set. Freaky to me that they are #2 though. Must be another headliner to be added.
I’m actually really digging this new 1975. I haven’t even been able to tolerate most of their previous material, but minus a few little things here and there, the new album is really solid. Had no interest in seeing them live prior, but I’d be down to see them now for sure.

I don't think Lumineers played Roo either of those years. Maybe 2013
It was 2013. They played which just before Jack Johnson; I distinctly remember this because I walked up to their set just in time for them to do “Ho Hey” and thought ‘wow, cool, now I never have to see them again’.
I watched that shit again this year. It’s still great.
Did you catch Rudolph tonight?
I managed to catch the end of The Year Without a santa clause, and now Rudolphs Shiny New Year is on. It’s not much my favorite Rankin Bass, but it’s been a while. The Great Quarter Past 5...

Must have been 2013, hiltons! They all sorta run together after awhile! It was at night, played 'Hey Ho' :-) etc, etc.
Thinking about catching Chem Bros in LA instead...
Yep, still going strong. We scored a really nice condo around Halloween. I’ll be the new Beach Bob and say I’m stoked for the beach vacation and I’m sure we’ll find a few shows each day to have fun at. 🤙

this lineups not that bad. im still on the fence for going GA w/ lots more beach time in the afternoon.

also noted that there's only 59 names on this poster. last years final had 80 (76 + 4 pre-party)
If I was local I'd probably find a way to go to the Vampire Weekend day and hang by the beach another day, but I cannot fathom why anyone would travel for this.

LMAO. That's about all you can say. A few, and even a few less than last year. In my mind, It's pretty horrendous of a lineup except it's probably pretty good for less experienced listeners and maybe high school kids that haven't explored that much in the musical realm yet.
im really surprised VW is well received on this board. they are so boring to me.
They're decent live from what I've seen and I only saw them one time and didn't know a lot of their songs. It's one of those situations where I don't have fatigue with them, wouldnt see them at their own show, but if they were a headliner at a fest I was at I'd def see them.

I caught a few songs at ACL awhile back and it just put me to sleep. It just felt so light, boring, with barely any energy or musical connection. I want to like them because they haven't turned to a typical, commercialized pop Imagine Dragons-esqe band but I have 0 interest with any of their songs.

This will be the first time I haven't been since 2013...and it is all because of the lineup. Usually I can find enough in almost any lineup to make it worth it, but not this year. Here's a list of who I would be even somewhat interested in seeing
Travis Scott Diplo Jimmy Eat World Bishop Briggs (best act by far on the lineup) Gang of Youths Sofi Tukker
i think last years lineup was manageable but my problem was it was littered with highly billed repeat acts that i saw with a similar billing at the fest already and seen fairly recently at their own shows. Its hard to get excited to spend thousands on something like that. This year I just cant find much im even interested in and the ones I am I have seen except for a few.
only acts i like this year are Griz (seen at the fest), Walk The Moon (Seen, whatever), Jimmy Eat World (seen but would love it here), Jungle (they rule but will have seen 3x by the time of this), Soffi Tukker, Sir Sly (not gonna top a vegas pool party set), Gang Of Youths.
