i knew Spencer Ludwig sounded familiar. I saw them 2 years ago with a new trumpet player and was wondering what happened to him bcuz he was great at their hangout set.
Did they drop a stage? Explains the 20 missing acts. They haven’t done additions in three years and it doesn’t seem likely they add 20 artists.
there were lots of names added last year after the initial drop. last years poster had 62 names @ drop and 80 by the time the festival hit. from what i heard from ppl who went last year they expanded the fest site and added a large grass area where the new sunset stage is (previously the palladia/letting go stage)

wait who was added last year? I know some replacements for drop outs but didn’t see any additions
Ok pulled the trigger on Chem Bros, got tickets for the 5/16 show so technically could still make it down to Hangout if the FOMO hits. (probably not)
Also looking at hitting up CRSSD Fest since they've got Armand Van Helden this year and I can take public transpo there from my house. I guess the less than ideal line up is good in that it is forcing me to branch out.
Although krisplettuce I agree with you that there are quite a few undercards I could make a weekend out of, Jungle and Gorgon City in particular, I just can't get anyone else on board. Eh what can you do.
they havent been really announcing them for a few years if i remember correctly, like just sneaking them onto the poster.
correct.
member when they dropped umphreys and dillon francis for the 2013 preparty. good shit.
Ok yeah they’ve snuck Bear Hands and Roots of Rebellion onto the poster. I don’t think it was 20 names though and it I was it was no one notable who moves the needle. I hope to be wrong but can’t see it
Hey guys I’ve never really been to a festival before and have some questions if you don’t mind answering. 1. Is VIP worth the extra money for someone that likes the line up? 2. How big are the crowds? 3. How early do I normally have to get to a stage to get good seats if I don’t end up getting VIP?

1. YES YES YES. IF YOU DRINK ALCOHOL THEN ADD ONE MORE YES. express entrance, pools, ac restrooms, catered lunches, lots of snacks in the grove and goodies/swag items. also vip only sets, beer (budlight) and cider at the main stages ( you'll need to tell them you are gluten free to get ciders) 2. main stages and boom boom tent get backup up but if you walk toward the water then cut up and in its not as bad as it looks. 3. there will be no sitting unless you're in VIP its too cramped if you want to be past the sound booth.
Yep, pour your 40's because seeing the Firefly lineup just reinforces that it's delusional to even hope for anything resembling what initially drew us down there while GV is in charge. Like Joni said, "they paved paradise and put up a parking lot".
