Im in a Bonnaroo 2015 shirt (represent!). Probably won't be at RKS because we'll be getting up real close for Julien Baker, but hope to see some folks around

Giving Astroworld a listen and kind of weird that they have Travis conflicting with James Blake. He's on that song Stop Trying To Be God. Seems like a missed opportunity for a guest spot.
Edit: Actually just noticed Blake finishes his set about 15 min before Travis finishes his. Maybe he'll high tail it to the other end of the festival for the encore?
At James B, right of the soundbooth in an army green Singha Beer T
Also, yeah- I was near a few T Scott fans during Rex Orange County. Talked through the entire first song, so I switched spots. Astroworld I give a 6/10

Daily recap: I saw a few other artists but only gonna mention some
RKS - never actually listened to them before. They’re decent. Super super quiet. Crowd loved what they could hear though.
Rex OC - This dude is Urban Outfitters the band. It was good for what it was but I just can’t really hop on board with this guy.
Chromeo - eh... I’m all for some great vocoder but that was a bit overkill. And all their songs (st least the ones they played) sound exactly the same.
Sylvan Esso: WOW, so much fun. Never listened to them before and I don’t care a ton for Amelia’s voice but I would love to see them at another festival.
St. Vincent: Was a pretty good show but her Coachella show was better. I imagine if this took place at night I would have enjoyed it more. There was also one point where I heard rattling hi hats coming out of an iPhone speaker nearby and it was a Travis fan listening to Astroworld, WHILE she was playing.
PtM: Another great show by them. Very similar to their Coachella show. Thought they slowed down Hip Hop Kids a little too much and the crowd around me was incredibly talkative but overall a positive experience.
YYYs: first time seeing them didn’t disappoint. The Travis fans absolutely hated it. Definitely plan on listening to them a lot in the future
James Blake: Despite many technical difficulties and Retrograde getting interupted twice he still had the best set of the day for me. I was at the rail right in front of him and he live debuted Don’t Miss It.
Travis Scott: He got stuck at customs and started at 11 so I caught 30 min. Was hype. But he basically gets paid 500k a night to scream into an auto tune mic

Man sorry to hear about the obnoxious Travis fans. Sounds like yall are having a pretty great time otherwise. Hopefully the next few days will bring in better crowds.
Really getting to the point where I feel like VIP at large scale multi genre festivals are becoming a necessity. Too many kids in GA who do not know how to act. But I am sure the older generation probably thought that about us when we were younger and going.
I’ll be in a white flowered shirt, probably easy to spot. We’re down to meet up whenever
I think I see you, are you wearing a flower cat ear headband
That was not me. Captain America shirt today.
Every set was good yesterday but the sound for RKS and Chromeo was lacking, definitely wasn’t loud enough. I thought Sylcan Esso was the best of the day and I’m barely a casual fan. Really like the layout of this fest, it waaaay bigger than it seems. The super soakers at the stages is genius too
Pretty much spot on with Katyperry's review. We were actually around decent YYY fans. I though some stages were way too low though. RBK sound was way lower than it should have been.
Best sets go to Sylvan Esso, Ron Gallo, and St Vincent.
Alex Cameron was a fun surprise....most unknown set for me that day.
Chromeo not performing fancy footwork is a major foul.
Leon Vynehall was awesome.
The fest overall is fantastic. Water cannons may be single favorite addition to a festival.

Day 1 thoughts: Went to this fest in 2016, and I have to say I'm not huge on this site, but at least its temporary. That being said the staff are still super friendly and trying very hard to give a quality festival experience. I think the Green and Mountain stages are not set up well at all. if you're not in between the stage and the soundboard you can't see jack (and I'm tall) due to the slopes they're on, and kinda wish there Tree stage just didn't exist on these grounds because the sound bleed is so bad. But on to the music!
Ron Gallo - Love him, he shreds so hard. Live I think he comes off way more psychedelic which is a good thing. I didn't love the setlist though
Sir Sly - If Imagine Dragons can become as big as they have, Sir Sly should have no trouble. Talented musicians quality songs. Not just boom boom drum man and a bunch of oh oh's
Alex Cameron - Eh didn't do anything for me live
Julien Baker - She was great, the sound bleed was Criminal. All I could hear was bass from other stages .
Sylvan Esso - So great, their set is always a party and Amelia is so much fun to watch. The crowd where I was for the start SUCKED. Way more jersey clad douche muffins than last time I was here, hoping a bunch of them were just single days for Travis Scott, but I think that's optimistic.
Rex Orange County - Was fine, I thought his voice was off.
St Vincent - I thought she was great , set would've benefitted from being after dark. But her setlist construction was hype, and the band sounded great. Opening with Sugary, Los Ageless, and Masseduction was inspired.
PTM - I couldn't fully appreciate this one because of how the stage was set up, but they sounded good. Love their covers.
YYY - So flipping good. They are rock music at its finest, but without question my favorite part was watching the Travis fans react. I had a pretty good mix of Travis and YYY fans around me as I was up very close, during Heads Will Roll and Date with Night Travis fans were literally crying the pits were so bad, and I LOVED IT. one of my favorite new festival experiences .
Lykke Li - Very boring after YYY, but I Follow was fun
James Blake - I like weird shit, that was weird even for me.
Set Rankings 1) YYY 2)St Vincent 3) Sylvan Esso 4) Sir Sly 5) Ron Gallo 6) PTM 7) Rex 8)James Blake 9)Lykke 10) Julien Baker 11) Alex Cameron
